Horrible. Very unprofessional Cardiologist and irresponsible to the patient.
Just knowing to say "beautiful words" and only spent 1~2minutes with the patient.
His cardio knowledge really needs to improve.
Worst experience.

One of the worst, not professional, unscholarly cardiologist. "Act"perfectly but no solid skills at all. Never truly or sincerely care about patient.

My colonoscopy was threatened with postponement when the anesthesiologist had doubts about my heart. I was referred to Dr Kassem in the same hospital who interrupted his schedule to oversee tests and prescribe me fit for the procedure. I found him very caring and professional. I hope not to have heart problems, but if I do he would be my first choice!

I was in the ER, with chest pain, an EKG that showed ST elevations possible acute MI and other abnormal findings. Troponin were negative and I had an ECHO. Dr. Kassam was paged several times to assess my case, he never showed up. Finally a nurse paged again I spoke to him on the phone, he said he forgot to come. Without seeing the ECHO, sent me home, and told me not to come back to the hospital if I had anymore chest pain. Just take some analgesic He made the assumption that it was a chest wall issue. I am a senior CICU nurse know my anatomy, and can tell the difference between chest wall pain and cardiac pain. Also smart enough to know not to follow the very bad advice I was given.

He neglected to tell my husband that he had suffered cardiac arrest during his angioplasty. We didn't find out until 12 years later from a totally different doctor, and only because he was reading the report in front of us and questioned why we hadn't mentioned it.

He took on my 90 plus father, when all other doctors had written him off. What a wonderful doctor, kind and compassionate. So grateful for him.

Dr. Kassam is not only a brilliant doctor but a very kind and he has a genuine heart. He did an angioplasty for my father who doesn't have an health insurance and he didn't ask for his fee. Our whole family is always thankful for his kindness. God bless always Dr. Kassam.
