Dr. Emon did cataract surgery on both of my eyes and it was a good experience. Lately, nothing to do with the cataract surgery but been having problems with my left eye. Family doc sent a referral to him, he refused to see me, suggested I see an Optometrist. Saw optometrist, didn't know what was causing my problem. Ended up at RVH for 3 days while they did CT scan and MRI, recommended I see Opthamologist. Dr. Emon said "I will see her in 3 or 4 months, meanwhile she can see an optometrist". My Neurologist at Sunnybrook, who was involved in my E.R. visit and subsequent stay at RVH, luckily has arranged for me to see an Opthamoligist at Sunnybrook!!! Apparently Barrie Opthamologists are on call at RVH but refuse to see patients unless it is an emergency. I think since the ER doc and 4 others docs said to see Dr. Emon, he should have seen me. I will never ask to see him again and would advise others to do the same. Find another one in Barrie who is willing to actually see patients outside of Cataract Surgery! So disappointed and disgusted at his attitude.

Dr.Emon took me on as a patient and came highly recommended by my husband who is also a patient. I have glaucoma and cataracts, and Dr.Emon removed my cataracts in November of 2022. I could not be more pleased! The staff is excellent, Diane and Esther are wonderful and a credit to his practice. I am having some retina issues and Dr.Emon is following that, so I feel very confident having him as my ophthalmologist!!! I would HIGHLY recommend him!

Have to have cataract surgery both eyes. Dr Emon doesn't fool around getting me in next month. His assistant Ester also very nice. They explain everything and answer all your questions. I know I'm in good hands.

I have only received professional service from him and his staff. Dr. Emon is also quite personable and easy to talk with about eye issues. His explanations about eye issues are easy to understand.
