Biography

Dr. Christine Chen was born in San Francisco and grew up in northern California. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Pacific Union College and a Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2010. Her ability to practice wide scope optometry is contributed to her extensive training at the Veterans Affairs in Las Vegas, the Center for the Partially Sighted in Los Angeles, Southwestern Eye Center in Arizona, and the multispecialty clinic at the Southern CA College of Optometry. Dr. Chen is certified to treat and manage eye conditions such as pink eye, allergies, foreign bodies, contact-lens related infections, and glaucoma. She is also trained in the diagnosis and management of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other ocular diseases. She enjoys taking care of her patients, helping them see optimally, and educating them on the importance of proper eye care. She is able to speak English, Mandarin, and clinical Spanish. Dr. Chen currently resides in LA. In her free time, she enjoys tending to her indoor plants, doing yoga, reading, exploring the different neighborhoods of LA, and traveling.
