I had knee replacement surgery two weeks ago.
Words are not enough to express my gratitude to Dr Nousiainen and staff .
I am for the most part pain free. Taking Tylenol only when needed.

Lovena his secretary is delightful and easy to communicate with.

Looking forward to more travel soon, all because of this great Doctor.

My badly deteriorated hip was replaced, and my leg extended to its original length on March 24/23. I am very fortunate that my surgeon was Dr. Nousianen. He is professional, skilled and knowledgeable, simply excellent. All nurses, as well as hospital and physio staff that I have encountered at the Holland Orthopaedic Centre were very helpful, kind and caring. The old pain is now gone, and there is no doubt in my mind that in due time I will be able to get my leg completely back to normal. Thank you, Dr. Nousiainen and the medical team at Sunnybrook Holland Orthopaedic Centre; I will forever be grateful for everything you’ve done. ZN

This is the only ortho I have met who is not only technically skilled, but is also kind, curious, and attentive. The staff talk behind his back about his good bedside manner :). While I haven't had the smoothest or fastest recovery from my THR, the hospital has been great and accommodating when I needed to check in for reassurance. Staff is amazing, especially nurse Beth.

I have had 3 surgeries done by Dr. Nousiainen. He answers every question and is friendly and professional. I have had no problems after any of my joint replacements.

Horrible experience with this Dr. Very condesending and disrespectful of a person suffering a measley broken ankle requiring no surgery. Debating my complaints because they are not consistent with my injury. His recomendations to me are questionable (I've broken a bone before with an excellent outcome under the care of an entirely different Dr and hospital) so I'm very aware of what recommendations are successful to recovery. I felt as though he secretly wanted me to re-injure myself with his obsurd advice! Shopped for a new Dr - who needs this ridiculous treatment while suffering.

Have had a hip and a knee replaced by the Finnish Rockstar. Sunnybrook - Holland Orthopedic Centre is fantastic. The Nurses, Admin, Doctors are all there to serve and care about people. Dr. No is amazing, gives options where there are, is blunt in a good way. Do your Physio and Exercises - this is key!!! If you don't or you are lazy about it, you have no right to complain.

Both knees replaced, 2017&2018. He is highly skilled, excellent care, took the time to answer all of my questions, was patient and kind. Clinic staff great, his secretary can be curt a little rude and dismissive, but once you are past her, smooth sailing. I met others in his waiting room, there for him to fix their botched jobs from other surgeons. Knees doing great, will go to him if I ever need my hips done! If you are lucky to get referred to Dr. Nousiainen, then you are in good hands.

Both hips replaced (separately) in 2014. Dr N is an excellent surgeon. Six years later, I have excellent function in both hips and am not limited in my activities in any significant way. If I ever need a revision, which is likely because I was 54 at the time of surgery, I will want him to do them.

The guy is seriously lacking in "bedside manner". I broke my ankle, was casted, and sent on my way -- okay, no problems here. On a return visit, I told him that I was in a lot of pain, swelling, tingling, numbness, etc., and he looked at me and said, "What do you want to do about it?" I blinked at him and responded, "I don't know. I'm not a doctor." He was very patronizing and condescending. Despite having appointments with him, I have not seen him since; he has had his resident staff assist me, instead.
