Dr Malan is one of the most caring Doctors I’ve ever had. So grateful to have my family going to him. He encourages you to take care of yourself and if you have a problem, he helps you to make the appointments with specialists quickly to deal with the issue.

A senior with complex medical issues, I have been Dr Malan's patient since he first arrived in Calgary. I rate him highly for helpfulness and knowledge. He is usually very punctual which is important to me as I use City Transit's ACCESS program. The staff at the clinic are friendly, helpful and efficient.

My entire family has been coming to see Dr Malan, and like most have said, he is a quiet and reserved man, but an incredibly amazing doctor. He is knowledgeable, takes his time to ask and answer all questions, keeps and open mind, researches and co-counsels with other specialists if and when necessary. We have nothing but wonderful thing to say about him in the 10 years all 4 of us have been seeing him.

I have been seeing Dr Malan for many years but the last few since he moved to Walden made me look for another doctor. He missed to inform me of a very important results from both my blood work and ultrasound in 2018. I'm now with another doctor who is rectifying his errors. He's seems to be to constantly busy, booking too many patients and not having time to deal with their issues and concerns. The wait time is also unacceptable.The staff at this clinic are wonderful!

Absolutely the best doctor I have ever seen. Very intelligent, knows medication incredibly well. Remembers everything about his patients. He sent me to a specialist and disagreed with the answer of the specialist. He sent me for a second opinion and he was right! If it wasn’t for him I may not be around anymore. So thankful. He is also great with my children arguably the best doctor with kids. Perhaps should have been a paediatrician. Highly highly recommend Dr. Malan. Hope he sticks around for a while

My husband and I have been with Dr. Malan for the past 5-6 years. He has a good memory about each of us and our issues, and always asks how the other is doing. What I get from my experience is that his medical style is to send for diagnostics, and then prescribe. He is not a pill pusher, he would prefer to know what he is dealing with before prescribing, which I personally appreciate. The office is very good about calling for follow ups and have even had him call me personally when something that looked quite urgent came up. He is not overly empathetic, which is not something I need from a doctor so it doesn't bother me. but if your looking for a shoulder to cry on type doctor, I dont think he would be a fit. For me, he is the perfect fit, and I am so glad he is my doctor!

Dr. Malan has been our doctor for almost six years. It took awhile to get used to his personality but now hope he will be around a long while to take care of us. He is thorough and found Dr. Malan to go above and beyond. He did not give up on my husband. We highly recommend.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Malan for over 4 years now. I was not necessarily impressed at the beginning. Our previous family dr was one big disappointment and I welcomed the change. My husband saw Dr. Malan more often than I did, however last year when I saw him in July with a mild abdominal pain and signs of bloating his care, sense of urgency and vast knowledge has changed my life. What I thought to be an annoying and mild pain ended up being ovarian cancer. I will always remember that last week of July when Dr. Malan sent me for blood tests and looked up all the labs that were open at 5 : 15 pm to send me to the closest one possible; sent me to x-rays and ultrasounds; he consulted the gynecologist on call to make sure he delivered the correct diagnosis. There was worry in his eyes and compassion there was also thorough research behind his message. I appreciate how knowledgeable and passionate he is and I believe in his care you will always have a sense of a good balance between science and kindness.

It took me awhile to warm up to Dr Malan, however I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him nor would I ever want to lose him. He is knowledgeable, well educated and not medication focused (however very medication smart). I am glad to be in his care and continue to drive accross the city... it is worth it.
