I am extremely upset I cannot even think straight! This office is the worse I have ever seen it. His staff has changed and these new woman are horrible. Couple years back I had this cute little lady that would go out of her way to help me over and above any stranger has done for me. I called his office and talked to two different people they told me the girl I asked for no longer works there. I am on a budget and only one medication works for me for acid reflux and my insurance will not pay for. My family doctor told me to get it through Dr. DESAI. THE TWO WOMAN TOLD ME THEY DO NOT HAVE TIME TO HELP ME. His practice has gone way down I found another doctor.

horrible rude staff...I had an appointment and waited 2 months for this appointment, and when I arrived was told RUDELY by lady at counter that Dr. Desai "wouldn't see me" because I had seen another GI doctor in 2012 and should go back to him. I did not WANT to go back to that doctor for my own personal reasons. they made me wait 2 months before telling me this. I intend to talk to a lawyer as the receptionist said this loudly in front of the WHOLE waiting room. it was humilating and embarrassing. Do not see this doctor....they could care less about you.

My husband was seen for an endoscopy 3 yrs ago and they found a mass in Hus stomach. Dr Desai said we would keep an eye on it. Three yrs later, he has another endoscopy and Dr sent him for an endoscopy with ultrasound to Henry Ford. At Henry Ford, the Dr said he should have the tumor removed because it was the kind that turns into cancer. The Henrey Ford Doc called my husband and told him personally to have it removed. Dr Desai's office said "ah nothing to worry about" and cancelled our appt for biopsy results, rescheduled it 2 wks later. Meanwhile we got another Dr, and have had the surgery to remove the growing tumor! I would not recommend him for any problem to anyone. Cocky and not careful with your life!

His staff is wonderful! Anytime I call with a question or problem I am not required to make an unnecessary office appointment they will put the question up for the doctor and then he decides my next step. Dr. Desai has a wonderful bedside manner, he listens to me never condescending. I had a colonoscopy at the center where his office was and the staff there was just as exceptional and i was in and out of there within 1 1/2 hours. I ended up having 3 polyps removed and had my results in two days....yes i would recommend him to all.

My mother saw this doctor in the hospital. I work for another GI in the area. My doctor was out of town so my mother was scheduled with him. He did not tell my father and I anything after her procedure at the hospital. I specifically asked questions pertaining to her condition and was blown off. He waws very rude to us and acted like we meant nothing. I'm sure the bill BCBS got for over 1,000 for the scope meant nothing too. At least it covered everything and my mom didnt have to pay anything out of pocket. Tuns out she has a serious condition and needs medication that he didnt prescribe. So much for being a specialist.
