I was under another drs care who wanted me to have radiation treatment. Everything was set when I broke my arm. In that waiting time I decided to get a second opinion. I thank God for Dr Cortas. Because I was a category 2 she couldn’t understand such a drastic measure. She said there were other treatments to try before getting to radiation. She is honest, supportive, and goes out of her way to find answers. I will do anything to stay with Dr. Cortas

I have been seeing Dr.Cortas since December 30th 2013. She is AMAZING! She explains the diagnosis and treatment plan in a very detailed way. She answers all my questions in ways I am able to understand them. During my treatment and after she treats me like a number one priority. She is comforting and caring. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is a woman who knows her profession and I will be forever grateful that she is apart of my life.

Dr. Cortas was thorough and caring! She explained things and was available by phone when I was having trouble or was worried. I am three years cancer-free! I have always felt the greatest confidence in Dr. Cortas and that is why we didn't mind driving across town to get the best treatment from a skilled and compassionate Doctor.

I'm happy to be able to rate my doctor she is Amazing Wonderful and so Caring of her patients. I've had Cancer 2 times and Dr Cortas I choose as my Oncologist in between my Cancer 2006 and again 2013. I was really scared when it came back but felt I was in very good hands with Dr Cortas and I did get back in remission in 5 months!! I highly recommend AZ Oncology at Biltmore area and Dr Tania Cortas!

I was in my early 30s with two young children when I was diagnosed with stage 4 of a rare & aggressive type of cancer. Dr. Cortas and the entire staff was very compassionate, professional, personable and made me completely comfortable with the treatment plan. I am a patient of Dr. Cortas. From day one she as always been informative, kind, respectful and dedicated to caring for me and to each one of her patients. She acknowledges me and other patients as we wait in her waiting area before we move into a room. I don't mind having to wait a bit to see her knowing that I am getting the best care possible. Dr Cortas takes care of my mom with breast cancer. The diagnosis was shocking and we were so upset as we did not know what to expect. Did she need chemo? Would she loose her hair? Dr Cortas was extremely thorough and gave us a treatment at our first visit that was specifically for my mom. My mom is now cancer free and doing great! My family and I cannot thank her enough for her kindness during this difficult time.

My name is Charles Cornish and Dr. Cortas has been my doctor since I was first diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2012. From the very beginning she had developed a plan for my recovery and presented it to me in a comforting, understanding way that put me at ease. Her positive attitude went a long way in helping me deal with the procedures I was going to have to go through. Now I still go in every quarter for blood work and when I see Jordana , her PA, Dr.Cortas will still stop in to check on me when she has time.
