This guy has two much business and it shows. Phones not answered. Front desk receptionist is clueless. Won't go back.

You will be in more pain by just attempting to schedule an appointment with him. Go into someone who actually wants your business. Skip this guy.

Dr.Calava is very good but don't bother staff if you have concerns or need to see him soon.
As another review stated, they don't want to be bothered and will not help you. Tell you they will call you and never intend to. They are a menace to his practice for sure. Have heard several complaints about his office help!

After seeing other pain management doctors which I was not at all impressed with, my neurosurgeon referred me to Dr. Calava. This man is by far the best! He is so knowledgeable, and remembers his patients by name. He genuinely cares. He is very down to earth and takes the time to talk with and spend time with you. There is absolutely no comparison between him and other pain management docs. I would highly recommend him!

After going through several Pain Management Doctors who simply didn't care we found Dr. Calava. He has been managing my pain for almost two years now. He is simply the best out there (and we searched around). He cares, he explains options, and is very knowledgeable. His staff is a pleasure to deal with too. Never kept me waiting for more than 5 minutes in the lobby. Highly recommended.

Dr. Calava is the best. I've been seeing him for over 10 yrs. He is very very knowledgable & has been keeping me pain free for years. Plus i love the fact that doesn't over book & leave you sitting in the waiting room forever. He gets you in & out so you can get on with your day :). GaryB

Dr.Calava and his staff are very poor in providing ongoing care for their patients. After the initial office visit and agreeing to procedures with the doctor, they do not like to be bothered by the patient who has questions or additional concerns. Instead of professionally managing pain, Calva seems to prefer to manage the number of patients coming through his door.

doctor calava was a good doctor..he took really good care of me for about 5 years...the ins. company put alot of paper work on him and he let me go...
