Dr Zucker is seriously the best. So knowledge. He took the time to explain every detail and really made me feel that he cared about my opinion. I am so glad I got to have him as my surgeon for my gall bladder. He even personally called me on the weekend after my surgery to check on me. And he helped handle another issue when my other specialist was being non responsive. You never need to doubt his care, knowledge and expertise He is seriously the best.

Felt totally deceived by Dr Zuker. Visit began casual, laid back almost. Was told no need for surgery for a few gall stones in gallbladder. Then just as visit was ending and I was putting my coat on, he said he'd like to do a quick exam. Literally 5 seconds after touching my abdomin, he loudly and firmly said "That needs to come out!" He was referring to my gallbladder. That was it! Gave me instruction on setting up for surgery.
I went home very upset and confused. Explained visit to husband that evening. He was immediately put off by Dr Zuker's behavior. Said he felt he scammed me, by gaining my trust first, then at last second, quick exam and all of a sudden... I need surgery! My husband reminded me..... He's a surgeon. It's how he makes a living. It's like asking a roofing company representative come to your home to recommend whether you need a new roof or not. He starts off gaining your trust, saying your roof looks fine and you probably have several years left....then just before he leaves, says "well I may as well take a quick look since I'm here".... "Wow, this is much worse that I thought! You need a new roof!!"
Needless to say, I went for second opinion. Was told many people have gall stones. Unless those stones are creating a problem, such as pain from blockage, there's really no need for surgery, unless patient chooses to have removed as precaution. The information this Doctor provided, made sense to me. I left visit with a much better picture of my choices, as well as other alternatives to surgery.
That's what I expected with Dr Zuker. Instead, I left office confused and emotional at the thought of surgery, with no other alternatives.
