Biography

Dr. Mona Patel grew up right here in the Central Florida area where she received her Bachelor of Science degree at UCF, then went on to receive her Dr. of Optometry from Salus University in Philadelphia, PA in 2001. Her family (and the cold weather in PA) brought her back to Central Florida in early 2005. She is trained in fitting contact lenses, diagnosing and treating sight threatening ocular disease, ocular emergencies, and co-managing surgical procedures. She is a member of WOO (Women's Optometric Organization) and The Eye Physicians of Central Florida, and has been an associate doctor at Bayhead Eye Centre since May 2016. In her spare time Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, loves traveling, walking and cooking.
