I saw Dr. Liese for 5 months and it was the most helpful thing I have ever done to delve into my demons. If you want someone to hold and pat your hand he's not the therapist for you. If you want someone to be honest with you out and sometimes call you out on your bs, then he is the therapist for you. Hes a cognitive psychotherapist by the way. He attempts to get you to change the way you look at things and see them differently and although Im in my 40s and was sure I knew myself well, he helped me connect a lot dots that I had never put together.

Though I generally arrived in a good mood, after meeting with Dr. Liese I repeatedly felt depressed. In my opinion, he was very unhelpful. He liked to mention how much he charged ($200 per hour) as if this proved how smart he was and how valuable his opinions were. He repeatedly interrupted us to provide his opinions. Sometimes he talked on and on as if he was the one who needed to be heard. In my last session when he started interrupting, I told him to shut up. Shortly afterwards, I felt that he violated my trust to a family member.
