I went to Dr. Spinazola several years ago for Neurological feedback treatment. Yes he is not the best at talk therapy, but the treatment is remarkable. I had constant anger issues my entire life, but the treatments melted my anger away. It didn’t help all my issues, but taking away my anger made it so worth the time and money. He does Not charge $650 per session and he takes insurance. The initial EEG does cost more and wasn’t covered by my insurance, but the insight it gave me was well worth it.

He is capable of doing EEG and/but that only. He made me feel horrible in communication in his halfhearted attempt in CBT. Fortunately, he said he couldn't see me anymore after a few visits when I disagreed with his psychology theory. (To be fair, I'm not professional obviously but I'm not his pupil and he hasn't been able to build trust or even made me feel comfortable talking to him yet, why should a patient blindly believe in that particular theory or school of thoughts.)
Only try if you need EEG for attention related issues, or just want to learn about anecdotes in this field I guess, don't try to talk or do other psychotherapy.

I waited to make my own decision about Dr S after reading his reviews. I find him to be professional, intelligent and very direct, which some people can’t handle. He employs reliable and valid models to help brain injured clients. I recommend him if you are serious about getting well, and if you prefer a doctor who provides alternatives to medications.

He was ride, made me feel bad for not making progress saying it was my fault I wasn't progressing. Tried to turn me against my family even. Eventually I lied and said one thing we were working on had been "cured" when it had not just to get him to stop blaming me. Arrogant, rude, egoistical man. I do not recommend dr. Spinazola

I believe he means well but he is out of touch with kids and society today. To add to his inability to connect with kids in a realistic way he has anger issues. He cuts people off or just refuses to listen and has a very arrogant demeanor. My 13 year old refused to go to see him any more after Dr. Spinazola called him a crude name. If I could have found any other EEG feedback provider in the Ann Arbor area I would have never subjected my son to his angry and antagonistic manner.

Passionate and knowledgeable! Dr. Spinazola cares about his patients and gets to the root of the issue. He offers practical strategies even if they seem really difficult...it is worth it!

Dr. Spinazola is in it for the money only. Makes you commit to 26 session at $650 per session. If your looking for help come with your checkbook open. He saw me for 15 minutes asked basic questions and charged me an office visit. I highly discourage anyone from wasting their time or money on this guy.
