So I went to see Dr. Husted after seeing Dr. Hoffman and learning my hips weren't the issue, but my low back was. I have NEVER seen this man before and learned after checking in that I was being allotted 15 MINUTES as a new patient as a man was scheduled 15 minutes after my appointment time.

They took 4 views of my low back. I asked one of the girls IF he treated upper back and was told no (as I had brought an MRI and results of severe disc herniation to discuss with him).

He waltzes into the room, spends LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES with me and keeps asking me IF I had ever taken ibuprofen for the pain or done physical therapy for my back. I told him no as I take Gapentin for nerve pain related to 2 autoimmune conditions I suffer with and he NEVER went over my x-rays!

I was trying to get established so when I am in severe pain, I could get a cortisone injection. After prescribing 12 PT treatments, he says he'll see me in 6 weeks and gets up and walks out.

I had surgery many years ago with one of his colleagues and I was treated way better by him than Hoffman or Husted. They like 3 minute consultations with new patients.

I'm very frustrated, aggravated and angry over the shabby way I was treated as a new patient!!!! I am a Senior Citizen and live in a different town than where this practice is -- the main reason I wanted to establish with him is because IF I ever require surgery, they are connected into a better hospital system than the one in my town.

The ONLY positive thing I can say about this experience is he's a snappy dresser.

First: my husband suffered with severe back pain for many years. Walking somewhat bent over and could take a few steps and would need to sit and rest. One Dr. did surgery on his neck and did alleviate some of his suffering. Another Dr. did major surgery on his lower back and he was somewhat relieved but the relief did not last. Going back to the Dr. who did the neck surgery he said there was little he could do and would do surgery but chances of help was minimal. We went to Dr. Husted for a second opinion. He said he could perform a 2-step surgery that he was fairly certain would help. We went for Dr. Husted's advice and he
performed the surgery per his 2-step procedure. It worked. My husband's back, after years of suffering, was almost completely resolved. And he could walk full upright again.

Second: When I developed back pain that radiated excruciating pain down both of my legs, waking me up nightly, I suffered in silence. Once my husband was feeling well again and I saw his great results, I went to Dr. Husted. He recommended an epidural and physical therapy. The epidural was quick and painless (only a momentary discomfort) and I was back walking normally and no longer suffered the excruciating pain in my lets during the night. The physical therapy also was very helpful and I have appropriate exercises that I can continue to do at home. In our opinion, Dr. Daniel Husted should be everyone's doctor of choice for any issue involving the spine. He is knowledgeable, confident, helpful and friendly. He goes right to the heart of the problem and moves you along to recovery in quick order.

I suffered from excruciating pain in my leg's, testicles and buttocks for years. I went to South Florida orthopedics and Dr. Ramos diagnosed me with two herniated disks, stenosis and multiple bone spurs.

I lived with pain for a year and a half, I couldn't play golf or pickle ball. Chiropractic and Physical Therapy didn't resolve my problems. I finally went to Dr. Husted who preformed an epidural injection. Minuets after the injection I felt six feet tall again, now I am able to play sports again. A friend of a friend recommended Dr. Daniel Husted for me. I had previously had back surgery and evaluated 4 other orthopedic back surgeons since my situation would require another surgery and I was in worsening pain as time proceeded. Dr. Husted reviewed my MRI, xray, and medical history before our first appointment. He gave me an objective review of my condition and discussed the prognosis in terms I could understand. I thought his diagnosis was spot on and he even mentioned a condition no other doctor had previously mentioned that he could repair. Soon after, surgery went as he predicted. Today, I am out of pain, healing well, and regaining the physical activities I had to abandon due to disability. I found Dr. Husted to be an extremely competent surgeon and highly recommend him.

Dr. Husted was recommended by another orthopedic surgeon who stated "you won't find a better surgeon for my issue (L4-L5 disc disease) in Florida". And he was right. I knew as soon as he looked at my MRI and told me what had to be done and that he does hundreds of these procedures a year that I was in great hands. I tried everything to ease my severe pain before seeing Dr. Husted. He went over my x rays and MRI with me and described the entire operation. I felt completely at ease. Here I am three months after surgery with no pain at all. I feel like a miracle occurred. Dr. Husted and his staff were wonderful and I would recommend him to anybody suffering with back pain. M.M.
