Blue Cross / Blue Shield
Had a horrible experience in the ER. Was first seen when I came in, but then forgotten and warehoused in the exam room. 4 hours later, after asking about the results of the blood test. The doctor and nurse finally came back. Dr. Baynes denied that he told me they would get an x-ray. ((I would probably forget what I told the patient too if 4 hours had passed before seeing the patient again.) I wasn't given a blanket, ice pack for the very swollen knee nor a pillow to elevate the knee. Was very unhappy with my experience at the Grande Ronde Emergency Room. I would rather die on the road or die of an infection before I would go back to this facility. There certainly needs to be some accountability towards patient care and timeliness from time of arrival to diagnosis to release.
