Dr Miyagawa is great for our entire family including the grandkids.

Dr. Miyagawa is a really nice guy who is incapable, or unwilling to fully address medical concerns. Soon after injuring my knee while playing soccer he told me to ice it. Six months later I still.have swelling and discomfort. For two years he's been treating my allergy asthma as a chronic conditions, telling me to take more drugs. My asthma has never been an issue, but Dr Miyagawa continues to push the drugs. The staff is always having computer operator issues, and address people at the window as if we've bothered them. Additionally, I have had to.use urgent care more often than seeing Dr. Miyagawa because it takes 1-2 weeks to see him. He works for Renown, a large conglomerate, who limits their Dr appointments to 20 min, regardless of the issue. He looks at his watch often when I've been in his office, and my appointments are always under 20 min., when I'm able to get a timely appointment. He's a really nice guy who works in a medical factory. I'm looking for anew independent Dr who takes the time to care for his patients, and who can solve real issues.

Friendly and sincere once you get to see him but his first appointment for new patients is more than 3 months, but after that, about a week. The wait time during a visit is less than 15 minutes. His approach is very efficient so long as you stick to standard western medicine but the minute you suggest alternative or holistic treatments you begin to notice how rigid his approach is as well as disinterested in new branches of medicine. He is no Dr. Oz. I find he makes his diagnosis too quickly and will not initiate a referral to specialists to explore causes outside his specialty (family practice) unless you demand it or your symptoms are obvious from lab tests. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Our family doctor. We range in age from 4 - 63. WhileDr. M doesn't see the kids he is the best M. D. my wife and I have ever seen.

We have been trying to find a GOOD doctor in Northern Nevada for 6 years with no luck until we found Dr. Miyagawa. My husband just had his first visit with him and he says "we finally found our doctor". He is very easy to talk with. I just hope is doesn't move on to greener pastures.

Dr Miyagawa is the best primary care doctor I have found in Reno and I have had 5 before him. I knew him before as I met him when we both worked out at the same heath club. In that setting he was just like one of the guys. He didn't have his nose in the air like a lot of doctors and I intercourse with a lot because I work in a hospital here in Reno, Professionally, he is the same.He talks to you like a friend and always greets you with a smile. He is well know by other doctors in Reno because whenever I have to go to a specialist they always tell me that he is one of the best. I recommend Dr Miyagawa to anyone that needs an excellent primary care doctor and who doesn't like to wait long in the waiting room because another thing is he is extremely punctual. The most punctual doctor I have ever had. If your appt. is at 3 pm then you will see him at 3 pm guaranteed!!

Dr was ALWAYS on time. Never had to wait more than 5 mins. He is friendly, very knowledgeable, down-to-earth doctor. Highly recommend.

Dr Miyagawa know his stuff. He makes sure that he has checked all possabilities. I appreciate his personal phone calls and his compassion.
