Dr.Debrito has saved my life and that of my daughter. I lost my mom this year and he made unscheduled phone calls to make sure I was hangin there. He drives me insane. We’ve been together double digit years. I don’t know what I would do with out him. Melissa Anderson

I realize Dr De Brito is was having some serious personal problems a few years back. I was his patient before this unfortunate episode of his life. He was always very professional and deeply caring, committed to improving the lives of his patients. He is the best psychiatrist I have ever worked with. His knowledge of medications is phenomenal. I would go back to being his patient at any time.

Always at least 45 minute to 2.5 hours late, very unprofessional about the questions he asks of you and your spouse, threatened his own staff, berated his own staff, now goes by John Lee. Don't walk, but rather sprint away. from this so called Doctor as fast as you can.

Dirk DeBrito now going as John Lee because his reputation is so bad, overprescribed me meds and then wasn't available to renew my prescription caused me great mental pain. My current doctor can’t even believe what he prescribed me, let alone what he prescribed me and ghosted me for.

Why is he still practicing medicine?
Dr. De Brito was arrested for beating his maid. He attacked his ex employee when she came to pick up her check. Dr. De Brito had a loaded gun and bullet proof vest All of this is public knowledge
My daughter was under 21 when he was her doctor. He would ask her questions about her love life and tell her how he would give her everything. He would call me into her counseling sessions and ramble about his life .
Dr. De Brito was also verbally abusive to his staff. It made everyone uncomfortable. Unfortunately, he has a history of inappropriate behavior. Dr. De Brito chased a client down the stairs because she decided to see a new doctor after waiting over an hour. He is not mentally fit to be a doctor.

Worst person I have ever met in my life! I had the unpleasant experience of meeting the dick when my wife was in residence with him at usc. He has no compassion no feeling no remorse no empathy! I have no idea why he became a doctor other than money and status. I highly recommend you never ever, ever go to this guy!!! Do yourself a favour

On May 12, 2016 Dirk de Brito was arraigned on 4 felony counts, and has a protective order against him. He is accused of assault with intent to harm against his nanny (arrested Oct 2015), has a protective order out against him, and is also accused of assault & weapons charges against one of his employees (arrested Jan 2016 while he was out on bail on the previous felonies). He also has arrests on weapons charges from previous years. You can look up his case on LAcourts.org / Online services / Criminal Case summary --case # GA 097514. According to the official court transcript of April 27, the police found a bulletproof vest, a handgun and ammunition in DeBrito's OFFICE when they searched it. He has reportedly had his privileges revoked at several area hospitals.
