Dr. Dirk Debrito is training new staff, which translates to not always getting great service since the office staff doesn't always know the system. Dr. Debrito is usually running late, but is also understanding when patients show up late. Debrito can be frank and upfront, which i find helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Debrito to anyone who needs to see a psychologist. He puts patient care above all else, striving for excellence, making it clear that he cares about his patients.

He is very rude arrogant and doesn't care how long a person waits. He is very abusive toward his patients. On my first meeting of this dr he went way over the line he asked me for my credentials and got very abusive about me asking I thought we were next. We had All ready been waiting for an hour and half. Got mad and was rude to his office staff while we were there. The poor lady was covering for his behavior because she knew I was irritated. There is something very strange in that office because there is signs everywhere saying donate your unused meds to his office. He has no business working in this field people he works with all ready have issue after dealing with him it's enough to throw them over the edge.

Verbally abusive, arrogant, rude and has the biggest ego of any Psychiatrist I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He is apparently the head of psychiatry at Huntington Memorial - a poor choice for the hospital to have made. He should never have become a Dr. His attitude to patient care is a disgrace to the profession.

I cannot recommend Dr De Brito to anyone looking for a professional healthcare provider. When confronted with a question about his patient care, he became verbally abusive, yelling and pointing fingers in my face. This behavior is unacceptable for any professional, but for a healthcare professional it's shocking and unacceptable.

I highly recommend Dr. Dirk de Brito. Dr. de Brito has guided me in achieving positive attitudes. He has advised, taught and urged me to overcome depression through exercise, appreciating the joys of life and dealing appropriately with grief from losses. His medication regime and guidance have helped me keep my manic-depression in check. My life is more balanced because of his most effective treatment.
