Good listener, intuitive, to the point, candid. She helped me navigate the grief of losing my wife of nearly 50 years. With her help, I have gone from having no desire to go on to now looking forward to each new day. While the pain of my loss will always be with me, she has helped me to see that this loss doesn't have to define my life. She has helped me to focus on and be thankful for what I have rather than dwell on what I have lost, without ever diminishing the importance of that loss.

We found Dr Abtin through Military One Source for couple counseling/therapy. She helped us restore our marriage and gave us the tools we needed to thrive. She met our individual needs and never took sides. She is often very direct and intentional with conversing. We spent almost 6 months in therapy. She has a couples guide book to pair along with the sessions. The book was great and we refer back to it through out the session. Idk where our marriage would be if we hadn’t found her to help us.

Dr. Abtin has helped me to realize my codependency and has taught me the importance of setting boundaries. She has had me read books that have been extremely helpful in managing my life rather than trying to manage the lives of others. I relate to her faith-based examples. I am less stressed, not because stress isn't there, but because of what I have learned from her. I am a stronger and more peaceful person, thanks to Dr. Abtin.

Dr. Abtin has assisted me through various challenging life changes like retirement and the loss of loved ones. I have seen her since 2012 as these challenges have occurred and she has helped me immensely. She shares her own reflections about her experiences which I find to be helpful and provide perspective. She has also recommended books to read which I have be resistant to do so but once I do have found them to be very helpful.
