Dr. Ott may be a hero when it comes to surgery but is horrible when it comes to a simple knees exam. I went to Dr. Ott for knee pain. They took ONE xray. He barely spent 15 minutes with me and looked totally bored and couldn't wait to leave., He told me I didn't have arthritis (which I learned later was incorrect) and couldn't seem to tell me what was the problem with my knees. He hemmed and hawed and sent me away with "if you still have pain in a couple months we can take another look". Really??? $419 for this???

I then sought out another doctor who was amazing!! Took several xrays (for less money than the one). Told me I did have arthritis. Told me what he thought what was causing the pain and sent me to weeks of physical therapy. BAM! My knee pain went away and have been great for MONTHS!! Total 180 from Ott.

I had a mix up with my insurance and have been billed the full amount. I have another health issue that have racked up bills. I have paid Ott $239 of the $419 and said that's all I could afford plus I had proof that the other doctor accepted the Medicare rate for the exact visit and what I paid Ott was more than those Medicare prices. I asked to please accept what I paid since it was more than if I had been on Medicare (which I'm on now) when I came in for the visit. But they refuse to acknowledge my request and is threatening collections. To me, Dr. Ott is only interested in the patients that are big dollar signs (surgeries) for him and a patient like me was of no interest to him and dismissed me as fast as he could and now wants me to pay for the worst doctor visit I EVER had in my 65 yrs. Beware !!!

Dr Ott has longtime experience working on knee and hip issues. From the first meeting you could tell he was totally into fixing my hip and getting me back onto the field. I saw three surgeons and knew right away Dr. Ott was the man for me. First class operation from top to bottom. He is one of top surgeons in the Phoenix area and works out of Oasis Hospital, highly rated for Orthopedic Surgery only. He IS the man you need!

My total knee replacement went beautifully! I was afraid, but determined to give my all, after Dr. Ott did his wonderful job! His staff works as a team, and everyone super in his/her role. All of my questions were answered. It was not as painful as I expected. By starting PT right away, you get a jump on healing the proper way. Do not stop half way through, It continues long after the doctor has dismissed you. Do not be afraid. It is worth your new level of mobility without pain!

My wife and I just finished a multi-year follow-up appointment with Dr. Ott, who has performed multiple joint-replacement procedures on us both. We are both doing very well, and Dr. Ott and his staff are as attentive and helpful as ever. Between the two of us, we have had a total of six (6) surgical procedures with Dr. Ott - five of which were total joint replacements. Our results from all the procedures were wonderful, and we highly recommend Dr. Ott and Ortho Arizona.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ott and his team. I've had multiple surgeries in different countries and found Gateway Surgery extremely efficient, clean and the bedside manner outstanding. I was in and out and very well looked after. Highly recommend this surgeon and his staff.

Dr. Ott was extremely helpful and an excellent doctor. He did an outstanding knee replacement for me. His staff was also very helpful and courteous. Upon leaving the hospital and going to physical therapy they ask me what doctor did my surgery as they were impressed with my ability to bend my knee as close as I did. Said they hadn’t had anyone able to bend that well. Obviously I had the best doctor.

Dr Ott did my total knee replacement surgery in June 2021. I was very pleased with my surgery. I was expecting pain from from what I had heard from people I knew that had the surgery. I know it's different for everyone but my surgery went so smoothly and my recovery has been a breeze. I took pain meds the first night I was home. I used the walker one day and the cane 2 days and thst was just for stability when I was walking on uneven ground. Dr Ott is a great surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone needing joint surgery.

Dr Ott replaced my Right Hip in 2003. I was told it would last roughly 10 years. Well the year is 2021 and my Hip remains perfect! Dr. Ott is a GREAT ORTHO. Unforntunatley I may be visiting him again in the near future for some (what I hope) will be some minor arthoscopy

Dr. Ott replaced my right hip on February 17, 2021. What a great experience. I took no pain medication nor did I need a walker or a cane. Week three I played 9 holes of golf. His team and the entire office is great and Oasis hospital was wonderful. If you need it done I suggest you call Dr. Ott!

Dr. Ott recently replaced my right hip and I don't believe the entire Anterior-entry procedure could

have gone any better. Everyone involved was efficient, helpful and kind. I walked out of the hospital carrying my cane because I was comfortable and feeling very little pain. Within days, I had even stopped taking Tylenol for pain control. A huge thank you to Dr. Ott and his talented Team.
