Dr. Hood is highly experienced, compassionate, and very thorough. She is our favorite doctor at PAA. She genuinely cares about her patients and goes the extra mile to ensure the highest quality of care.

She is a great doctor. She dosen't like to perscribe medicine. That can get annoying, but overall a pretty good doctor.

Dr. Hood does not seem to have much experience at all. She actually discourages BFing and prefers to have the child obese. She does not keep up with the latest research done in the field of pediatrics and refers to some old school thoughts for treatment. My child has been mis-diagnosed many a times.

I guess the other parents have had either preconceptions or axes to grind. We found her to be very compassionate and focused. She's quite simply the best, most competent pediatrician we've ever had. Excellent reasoning skills. A delightful physician in the truest sense of the word.

I went with my daughter to take my granddaughter to see Dr. Hood. After only talking with us a few minutes and doing a less than thorough exam of the baby she said she just had colic. My grand daughter was later taken to the ER to find that she had a terrible case of thrush and stomach problems.

Dr. Hood was more personable that a majority of the Doctors at PAA, however I choose to take my business (and daughter) elsewhere. Firstly; she was reluctant to discuss an alternative immunization schedule (which I later found out was due to PAA's strict adherance to Am Ped Guidlines), secondly; after performing a "diaper-off exam" she refered to my daughter as "HE" in later conversation, and lastly; after diagnosing Thrush she absently forgot to leave written scripts. For which I had to make a return trip to pick-up. Unfortunately, we are no longer patients but customers in the "time is money" current medical philosophy.
