Just one star. Not very helpful. I am surprised to see those positive feedback. Not sure how accurate they are.

I have been seeing her for many years. Although professional, she is one of the kindest & compassionate people I have known. She spends whatever time is needed to discuss issues - medication, personal, work-related. She is a passionate advocate when she believes there is a need. She will discuss her rational for prescribed medication but leaves options available. She has been available for emergency crisis situations even if only by phone. She has involved me available program as will as provided information on outside resources she feels would be of a benefit. She has assisted me in regaining my quality of life. I feel so thankful that I found myself under her care.

I have bipolar type II, although that diagnosis was nearly impossible to get because of her opinion. She evaluated me only briefly while I was an inpatient, but everyone else (other docs, nurses) knew I had a mood disorder and not just borderline personality disorder. She came across as very cold and judgmental! I'm sure she is as knowledgeable as others say she is, but I was sick just from how anxious I felt around her.

Dr Morier became the detective who was needed to find a treatment option for me. Treatment resistant was part of my Dx. The cocktail she put together is very unorthodox; but it is the only thing that has worked, after 20+ yrs of living with depression. She has pushed me to actualize the changes needed for my recovery. She is very open to alternative therapies. She is supportive in my legal battle and has connected me to the proper community and professional supports. She is extremely busy, therefore difficult to access on short notice, but has always been available on an emergency basis. She has been culturally sensitive, always taken the time to listen to my needs, is non-judgemental, but realistic . She calls it as it is and doesn't sugarcoat reality. I would definitely send my family to her for psychiatric care. For those who feel negatively about her bedside manners, you have not worked with physicians in that category. Hers are definitely above 500. (a nurse's perspective).

Dr. Morier has been looking after my psychiatric issues in HSC's Psychealth ambulatory care for 1 year. Previously she had seen me at the Mood Disorder Day Hospital program in the Psychealth centre. She is always on time or very close to it (10 or 15 minutes late isn't that bad when you're the last appointment of the morning), lets me speak as much as I need to and only asks questions as necessary. She allows me as much time as I need for my appointment. She always gives me one of the last appointments of the day, because I work the evening shift and she doesn't want to disrupt my sleep. The psychiatric nurse that works with her is incredibly helpful as well. At my last visit, she lent me a light therapy box to see if it would help me, but so that I wouldn't have to spend $200 and risk it not working. She has answered every question I could think of, and when she couldn't she directed me to a place where I could find the answers. Anyone would be blessed to have her as their physician.

Dr. Morier took the time to listen not only to my symptoms of my illness but also the issues in my life. It is the first time that I have really been assessed by a female psychiatrist and I feel that she understands the hormonal component that affects a woman's mood. I was hard on myself about feeling what I was feeling and she gave me "permission" to have these feelings. I shouldn't be hiding them or get down on myself for where I am at right now. Owning my feelings is the first step to recovery.

She is a wonderful Dr with a great bedside manner. She has taken me seriously, and empowered me. She was able to keep me going through a terrible Postpartum Depression and then effectively diagnosed me, after years of suffering.

Dr. Morier is horrible in working and treating you. She is only interested in my chemical cocktail. She says, "That's a long-term solution to a short-term problem" and provides no help.

Dr. Morier is friendly and a good listener. She treated me with great professionalism, ensuring my medications were at appropriate levels. Importantly, she encouraged me to self-educate and directed me to some excellent resources.
