Dr. Stal has been my GI doc for about 15 years. He has helped me tremendously deal with my condition. He's very intelligent and knowledgeable. He's a bit of a wizard in fact. He tends to briefness but that's fine with me.

Well, he seems fairly professional and considering the procedures he has to perform, he seems like he is still interested in his job, but I have also had a few experiences with him with respect to sedatives. I have felt way too much pain with the colonoscopies, even with sedatives. Why is that?

I didn’t have the greatest experience. The nurse asked if I would like to be sedated and I said yes she gave me the sedation and I sat there waiting for it to kick in. The sedation did not work at all on me and they still continued to take me into the room. I asked if I was gonna be asleep and they replied do u want to be ? Of course I did thats why I asked for sedation. They gave me more and I still wasn’t the slightest bit tired or sedated. They continued to insert the tube and I had to go through the pain. They say it’s a mild cramp and this was nothing compared to mild. I don’t want to go to this doctor ever again.

I find Dr. Stal to be very knowledgeable, thorough and clear. He follows up consistently and always answers my questions thoughtfully. His office is also helpful in facilitating consults with other specialists as needed.

Dr Stal is knowledgeable, patient and thorough. I’m a retired nurse and was very impressed with my consultation.

Dr. Stal is thorough, knowledgeable, and totally sympathetic and helpful when I have had real GI problems. All colonoscopies I have had have been effortless, painless, and quite OK while of course not enjoyable.

I've had several colonoscopies with Dr. Stal and they've always gone fine. The doctor is rather brusque and not very forthcoming with information.

Dr. Stal has been my GI for about 12 years. He is an amazing doctor who is thorough and caring. He goes above and beyond to find out a solution to every problem. I recommend him 100%.
