Dr. Bristol is a 10+ surgeon. Great interpersonal skills, full explanations of procedures, continuous checking with me to determine sensitivity of areas being operated on.
No areas of improvement based on my surgery. Have great difficulty in understanding how anyone could give him less than a 10 rating based on my experience.

Terribly arrogant doctor, doesn't want to hear about your symptoms or how you were injured, writes in his notes that "patient asked the same question multiple times". Accused me of blaming my ganglion on a car accident when I previously told him I had it for years before the car accident and he has MRI's from years before to show that, he just won't listen to me or read my notes. I think his students were better than he is. I won't be back. Felt rushed during all appointments.

Though my experience with Dr Bristol was 10 years ago, his professional and friendly demeanour still makes me smile. I did some major damage to my thumb and index finger with a table saw and I was fortunate he was the doc at VGH Emergency at the time. It and the subsequent nerve damage made my life difficult for quite a while and his corrective surgeries were instrumental in getting my hand back to a functional stage. Kudos to everyone from him to his front desk staff for their extra mile approach to my recovery!

Recently went to this doctor for a broken hand. Not once did he ask me about how I broke it or if I was in pain. He then took my cast off three weeks later and sent me on my way with no cast, even though the bone was still fractured, and my hand was still swollen and bruised. Felt as if he needed to get to lunch and wanted to get me out of there. Would highly highly not recommend. Will need to go to another doctor for a cast for the remaining three weeks

Excellent, compassionate and very thoughtful. Dr. Bristol took time explaining the procedure and the possible outcome. He has been very available before and after the surgery to talk to me with my questions and concerns. In addition, I would like to complement Dr. Bristol's assistant, Rhonda. She is the best! She is very efficient, kind and responsive to my phone calls and requests. I feel very lucky to have been referred to Dr. Bristol. I highly recommend him as a surgeon.

Dr. Bristol was one of the best doctors I've seen. He performed a successful surgery on my finger during one of the most stressful periods of my life. I saw Dr. Bristol for a very painful Trigger Finger that I could barely move. In a few short minutes, he had figured it out, drew me a diagram to explain what was going on and told me the 3 steps we would take to treat it. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable = a great experience. Thank you Dr Bristol!!
