Highly recommended and seemed to know exactly how to fix my right wrist. Very careful examination even for my other wrist which seemed fine. Scheduled for surgery a few weeks later but things fell apart. His staff seemed disorganized and difficult to reach. They called me to schedule a post op appt BEFORE my surgery. Then they assured me my surgery was on schedule. The day before, I learned the hospital did not have my preop test rests nor did they have me on the patient list for surgery. After some scrambling by the labs and hospital, my paperwork was sent, no thanks to the Dr's staff. Then the hospital had difficulty reaching Dr's staff to resolve the patient listing. Late in the day Dr's staff called and told me they could squeeze me in. I didn't want to be an afterthought. I declined. Now looking for another surgeon.

Four hour wait EVERY TIME! They tell you to show up on time, but you will have about a 4 hour wait. There is no respect for wasting your time. He operates like a bull in a china shop. My finger was not pinned straight and the trigger release surgery I had was unsuccessful. He should have retired long ago.

I had an extremely rare condition and dr. Ostermann took care of me! He was truly the only doctor I could go to for such a complicated surgery. He gave me my life back!! I hate waiting at his office but he is worth it!

I would highly recommend Dr. Osterman. Am recovering from cmc thumb joint surgery on my left hand 2 weeks ago. He performed the same surgery on my right hand 1 year ago with fantastic results. Great movement in the right hand and best of all no more pain!!! Looking forward to the same results with my left hand!

My orthopedic dr. wanted me to see dr. osterman to see if surgery was the right choice for me cause my dr. had never done this surgery on someone so young. Dr. osterman was very rude he didnt even shake my hand when he first came in the room! He didnt ask me if i had any questions or anything!! do not recommend him at all!

Very unhappy with Dr. Osterman. Had problems with wrist soon as the operation was over. Staff and Dr. Osterman did not seem to be concerned with the problems I was having with my wrist. Everyday have pain and swelling and need to get another operation down the road.

I have never had such a wonderful experience. Although the wait is long it is well worth it. I suffered an injury in a car accident, and suffered for almost three years. Dr Osterman preformed surgery, and I am problem free for six years now.

I was so fortunate to get an appointment with Dr. Osterman. I broke my wrist and the local doctor wanted to cast it and see what happens. Dr. Osterman and his staff spent almost two hours on my initial visit and prepared a plan to gain 100% functionality. I am in recovery now and each week gaining more use of the hand and wrist. His attention to each patient is outstanding. You'll need to wait to see him, but you'll get his full attention and the best care ever! I was told people come from all over the US to be seen by him and now I know why. He holds a symposium every March, lectures, writes papers, and holds a full time practice. I have no doubt his research has helped to make him one of the best. Unfortunately I can't say that about my insurance company.
