I have been seeing Dr Thrower for about 5 years now. I LOVE this doctor! He is very intelligent and doesn't dismiss anything you tell him. I love his office staff as well. The entire department Is very competent and runs like a well oiled machine.

I was referred to Dr Thrower by my neurologist. He had diagnosed me with MS but the symptoms were so mild, he thought I should see a specialist. It took me 6 months to get an appointment with Dr. Thrower. We were ecstatic to be seeing this renowned MS Specialist. Little did we know. After an MRI, he told me he was not convinced that I had MS and sent me back to my neurologist for him to determine what I really have going on. Dr. Thrower could recite to us every statistic affiliated with MS which was impressive, but we walked away dejected and feeling like he didn't care about me or my situation. 6 months waiting to see him felt like wasted time. Since then, I have been to the Mayo Clinic where I saw Dr. Elizabeth Shuster. What a Godsend. She confirmed my original diagnosis being a mild case of MS and agreed with my current treatment approach. The staff at the Mayo Clinic treated me with courtesy, concern, and respect and most off made me feel like I was important to them.

So happy with Dr. Thrower. Very helpful and does anything to try to place you on the best MS therapy medication that is best for you. He is available to you when needed and if not, the call center will get one of the nurse practioners to look at what you need. They will consult with Dr. Thrower and you get a call that day. I will not leave this doctor until I have to change. Parents take me and they are in their 70's. I will only leave when they can no longer take me. Even at that I might have to find transportation to get to him. I love his office staff. Easy to get appointments. He is up to date on all the treatments and knows what is out there. He will research where a patient is with their MS and try to get them on the best medication for that person. He has tried with me so many things. He is still trying to help get the best therapy for me. I am so impressed with him as a doctor. Very knowlegable about all things. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a new neurologist.

He takes all the time I need. I like that he feels we are partners in my health instead of just telling me what to do. I can email him, and he answers promptly. I feel very comfortable as a female discussing anything with him. Right now I am seeing him five times a year due to being in a clinical trial and have seen him since he first came to Atlanta, so I have seen him more times than most of his patients. He is head of research projects, so he is current with his information. Dr. Ben is the best!

Dr. Thrower has given me renewed hope that I can live with MS and have a productive life. He is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. God bless you Dr. Thrower!

Very fortunate to fine Dr Thrower. If someone must have this crappy disease(MS) I couldn't ask for a better neuro. The staff is unlike other offices --I feel they TRULY care about each of us. Thanks Dr Ben

I have MS. Prior to going to see Dr. Thrower I had visited 3 different Neurologist. None of them seem very knowledgeable about the disease or willing to take the time to answer all my questions. I often would feel rushed while with the Dr. as well as having to wait long amounts of time. This is the opposite with Dr. Thrower. Absolutely the most well ran MS center in Atlanta. If you have MS you must consider Dr. Thrower.
