Not a real pain management doctor. His staff take care of you. He sees you for a second or two to tell you what he is not going to do and what you will do. You even sign a doc that kinda says... you won't even complain as your getting screwed.

I agree with the highest rating possible. Dr. Gershon is quite knowledgeable as are his nurse practitioners. One person below complained the nurse practitioner left to confer with Dr. Gershon - uhhh, that's what good nurse practitioners do!! Several have complained Dr. Gershon doesn't prescribe narcotics. People need to read between the lines why those patients were so unhappy and what they were really after!! I want the root of my pain solved or addressed without the use of narcotics. I have never been treated rudely by any member of the practice nor have I witnessed others being treated rudely. Dr. Gershon and his practice have been recognized as Best of the Beach - an honor truly deserved!

Highest rating possible. Beside front desk, saw 3 different specialist including the Dr. himself. Through exam. Questions answered. Choices given for treatnent with escalating options if necessary. Follow up in 3 weeks.

Dr Gershon was instrumental for getting me healed and back on the tennis courts. I have been dealing with golfers elbow for years and nothing helped long term! He suggested that I try a new technique Neural Prolotherapy (NPT) a natural-based injection technique that reduces pain

I was referred to dr Gershwin and called a couple times to see what he prescribes, injections etc. I got vague answers. I don't have a car But went to the appt. They took a urine sample. Saw a nurse practitioner that was lacking in people skills. Dr Gershon came in and said we don't prescribe those meds you have been prescribed. And he said you have been released so find a dr and stick with it. All contracts have 2 parties and 3 if couting office managers that speak (psychic) for a dr. I was not asked my view. But the dr. Is very professional and probably great fir patients with less chronic disease. I broke my ankle in January and my back is worse. Numb feet. So a Neurologist is needed and I never asked for the meds. Ever. I called for a dr suggestion recently and the receptionist was friendly and helpful . Best wishes to your practice.

I've been a patient here for over 10 years. They came highly recommended by my GP. Ten years ago they were great. Now I see them unable to tell the difference between someone in need of their help and a drug addict. I've a condition with no cure. It is degenerative. At some point I will need extreme pain care. They are unwilling to educate themselves on new procedures. They've recommended procedures that exacerbate my condition. When I turn down an option for care they view me as a drug seeker. I've never asked for, nor do I want, something to which I could become addicted. when I've guided them to the national association for my condition and their treTment guidelines, I was told those were rogue doctors and this practice wouldn't consider those treatments. How is a national medical association, their board of doctors, and their recommended treatment plans rogue? It makes me sad to see this practice flounder. Nurse Practitioners are not equipped to handle advanced pain management. Dr. Gershon does not adequately supervise the attending staff. This is leading this practice in a scary direction. Dr. G., this staff is the face of your practice. If they are not practicing good medicine, then YOU are not practicing good medicine. We don't want drugs! We want help. Unfortunately, in pain management drugs are part of the equation. The specialist for my condition advised me the level of care you provided was inadequate. Get back to the helm Dr. Gershon. Great Neck deserves better.

Shelly is a nasty individual. She needs to be dismissed. She needs a good old fashion belt on her butt. Dr. Gershon will lose a lot of patients because of her nastiness. The nurses act like they are half-retarded. They look like they are on dope. They are the number one drug abusers. All they doing is taking peoples money. They don't do a thing for people. I don't know who voted for them for 2013 but, they do not need any awards.

This place needs to be shut down. The person that said that they are caring maybe, you caught them when they were off their meds. They all are nasty individuals. They are a DISGRACE!!
