Dr. Dimick upped the rate of normal glucose levels from what the nurses were telling us. There was one reading that was high done in the room by a not as accurate machine. 15 minutes later it was back to normal reading from the nursing station by a more accurate reader. Even when I had the charts on paper, because I requested them he still made it mandatory that our son stay 2 nights in the NICU. And made us feel like we were not fit to make decisions. Well they forced high glucose levels on our son and we had to wait for it to come back down and stay steady. Looked like this doctor was a money monger and controller because he could. When we got home we learned that babies normally have lower glucose levels because of the birth trauma they don't eat as much. Plus nursing babies don't get that much glucose right from the beginning. It takes about 5-7 days for babies to get the glucose they need. What happened to the days when they would send bottles of glucose water home with the mother? It meant extra bills for us. And ment that he was unfair when looking at only the one inaccurate reading. I shake my head. No thanks to Dr. Dimick.
