Experience severe hypothermia, trauma unit was great and saved my life! I'm forever greatful! But when I got out of the trauma unit to the ninth floor, icicle the walk. Every time I pushed the nurses button it took them 45 min to come in the room. When I did start to be able to walk the dr gave me a laxative. So I thought for sure they would be in, they knew I needed help to the bathroom. No way! 45 min!!! My daughter offered to stay with me. Thank goodness! Or they would of jade quite a mess to clean up!
I had been ill for 9 days and the doctor told me I had an upper respiratory infection and sent me home with cough medicine. She said that even if I had bronchitis I would have to just wait it out, that it couldn't be treated with antibiotics. This is different from what I had experienced in the past with bronchitis. I was still very ill 2 weeks later. I found a doctor that would see me and they said I had bronchitis and gave me an antibiotic. I started feeling better within a couple of days. My son had a bad experience at this same Instacare and I should have known better than to go to them.
I was impressed by the doctor and the nurse who interacted with me when I went in with chest pain. They were able to pull up information about a past cardiac test I had had somewhere else. They were both cordial and concerned and I felt they were both very professional.
