My daughter went to Urgent Care, he did a lab and it was negative and he said unnecessary for other labs, my daughter went back then next day because of pain and the new doctor did the labs and came back positive. Casey Cranor should of done all labs, this way we would not have to go back to a different doctor. I never will recommend him, doctors should listen to patients and not think he is always right.

The U used to be my favorite branch of hospitals this past year and their customer service has gone down the drain since then. Since December my health has been rapidly declining due to an AI disease I have and it has caused 3 hospital stays of 5 days or more and 20+ ER visits and we immediately started going to the U but regretted it. They now see you as only a statistic now and the second they think they’ve “fixed” you, they have you out that door whether they’ve done it or not. I made the mistake of giving them one last shot for a surgery I required last week (was actually two separate surgeries done at the same time). They had interventional radiology at Huntsman by the main campus do it which I’ve never used before but I figured it with how fancy the building is then the equipment must be top notch and the surgery done better than anywhere else…wrong! Their version of explaining what will be done to you is the bare minimum and what I got was nothing like what we were prepared for so we were not only surprised but we barely know how to use my G tube now or the CVC tube as well as they did not explain either well or correctly. Our understanding with the G tube was that “venting” would vent air and whatnot in my stomach to help aid my nausea hopefully. They did not explain that it’s practically a colostomy bag I have to wear and then they didn’t even do the tube correctly or give us the correct supplies for it! They did not even attach a clamp to the G tube for when I’m not venting and instead of fixing that while I was out, they decided to just leave it and tell me to cap it with the caps they gave me. Yeah tried that and they aren’t compatible as it spewed stomach contents everywhere so thanks for that. Their other solution was office supplies/binder clips, seriously?! They also warned me that if this tube gets caught on something or ripped out within the first 6 weeks, it could potentially kill me. So what do they do? Instead of attaching one of the tubes that’s flush against the stomach, they attached one that sticks out a freaking foot and almost gets caught on everything! They also overdosed me on their fentanyl combo for anesthesia! With my declining health, I’m down to 96 lbs, not going to take much to knock me out. I HAVE 10 HOURS OF LOST TIME!! I remember when they started the procedure and next thing I know I’m waking up at home 10 hours later not knowing what’s going on or how to do anything. They kept me 5 hours after my procedure and somehow thought I was in a decent enough state to discharge home! God forbid they keep someone who just had two surgeries at least one night for observation! I was so upset and dumbfounded because I had no idea what to do with my newly attached stuff or what happened and my wife could only understand and help out so much when they weren’t informative or helpful at all with her while I was overdosed on their freaking anesthesia (who according to my wife, the anesthesiologist even admitted he probably gave me way too much over when he saw us still there hours later). By that night my pain was the worse I’ve ever been in 10/10 and I have been in some bad pain due to my disease. The morphine and motrin they told me to take wasn’t even touching it. I wanted to go to Lone Peak or St Marks so bad but since the surgery was done at the U, I figured it was probably better to stay with them since they should know what’s going on. Their solution was to give me more morphine, and then hydromorph until the pain was a 5/10 and then discharge me. No admittance, no checking to make sure the surgery was done correctly despite having a fever. I ended up having to go back again that night, the same process was repeated by them but then they did a CT scan which they said looked normal and sent me home. Is it really that hard for them to just admit someone for observation??? The freaking emotional and physical trauma these people have put me through the last 4 months just isn’t worth it and after this anesthesia overdose and surgery, I’m seriously considering a lawsuit. Stay away!!!

Horrible all the way around.. If you can go to another hospital please do- Worst hospital to in the world. Dirty - Charge nurses have bad bed slide manners. Bad to the patients and families. From the 1st day we got here it’s been nothing but problems- One nurse was slapping my father in the hand also got a pen and was hurting him in the fingers. We complained and since then been threatened and Harassed by staff.. We’ve been here for 2months and the care has gotten worse each day…

Lack of cell service is infuriating. Doctors are Awesome. Cleaning staff ok but don't expect a lot if you spend a few days because they do minimal cleaning around patients. Nurses and care staff are also Awesome in the evenings but not so much daytime. Nutrition workers are unreliable. When I was there in 2012, They were not dependable to check on needs nor were they able to accurately attend to needs even after getting information. If great doctors are what you are concerned with, I highly recommend them but not so much if you get frustrated easily.

They keep canceling our appointments several days before we were to arrive. We make our appointments a month or more in advance. What is the problem??

I've gone here and have seen several Drs and love each and everyone of them. Professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I do have one problem, my dr is in network but she has a specialty clinic that is not. so a $377 bill that you thought would be paid is not. a little frustrating when you have seen them for 8 yrs and all of a sudden a new clinic and out of network. have cancelled that clinic visit in the future will see her right next store in I guess her practice.
