First off, I never have given 5 stars on any review I have ever given. There are always ways that things can be improved. Now for my review. I have been seeing Dr. Henry and his staff for over 3yrs. I have NOT experienced any unfriendliness or will to help. When I first started going it was a fairly rocky but once past the first couple appointments things have really changed for the better. They have hired more staff to accommodate their ever growing list of Patients. In the past couple years the waiting time to see the Dr. OR in my case a Nurse Practioner, it has been well within reason of the waiting timeframe to actually see them. Again, things have really gotten better within the past 2-3yrs. and have NOT experienced what some of these others with the negative comments have experienced. Dr. Henry and staff have treated me VERY well and at time above and beyond. Tell me, What Dr.'s office doesn't have its trials and tribulations or emergencies that pop up from time to time? Overall, I am very happy with the care I have gotten from Dr. Henry and Staff at Illinois Regional Pain Institute.

I thought he was a good dr but he doesn't listen, started decreasing my meds which I've been on over 20 years there is no cure or procedures that can help my back which he has told me. My lung dr sent a letter explaining that there is no need to reduce my meds it's actually putting strain on my heart and lungs because the pain is not being controlled, these are my pulmonplogist words and advice, not really advice more of a observation and his extensive training. He also advised finding a new pain dr explaining we have several in our area, he's not the only cookie in the cookie jar lol. As for the office staff I think the other comments explain it very accurately, terrible, unhelpful inexperienced unfriendly and do no follow up that by law is required

Dr Henry was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. The staff friendly and helpful. Finally received injection that relieved my chronic back pain. I have visited another pain clinic in the area received an extremely painful injection without any pain relief ! Would highly recommend him !

Rudest staff I have ever encountered in any of my numerous medical appointments..EVER..they ,as a whole, are dismissive and in no way compassionate. THIS IS A PAIN CLINIC!!! Dr Henry has to be aware of this and yet does nothing..that speaks poorly of him , as well. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Henry is a good and very compitent doctor. As mentioned (many times) previously on this board, his office staff is THE worst!!!! It takes 'months' to get in, only to be told, that you need a procedure (which you already knew) and that it will take additional months to actually have the procedure itself. (And more often then not, you 'will' need additional procedures down the road). If he and his partners can ever fix that office, I'd highly recommend 'him', but I'd stay the heck away until he does.

I want to correct my last post. I was mislead last week on my status of my situation. I was told (at one point during our conversation) that it looked like the insurance had approved it. However after finally calling yesterday, even though I was promised numerous times that I would receive a phone call on Friday or Monday, they admitted to me that it had never been turned in. It had been sittinv since June 26th and it had never been turned in. Dr. Henry would be gone until Monday so the letter to the insurance company couldn't be written until then. REALLY NOT EVEN STARTED!!! I was thanked for my understanding. I told her I didn't understand but I don't have a choice. Please I am telling you if you want prompt care don't go to.this office. It is a big hot mess. You can't have this many problems.

The staff is terrible. I should have known from the start. It took over a month to schedule an appointment. I had to call and find out if they had gotten the referral from my neurologist. They said no. I checked with my dr, they said they had sent it. It all of a sudden showed up. Then it took another month to get in. I drive 1 1/2 hours to go see Dr Henry because that is who my neurologist says I should go see. At one appointment I was told they were running a little bit behind. I waited over 4 hours to see the dr. I kept going to the window to see what was going on as I had my 6 and 3 year old children with me. The staff was extremely rude to me and told me the only choice I had was to reschedule. I told them I was already driving and they show no compassion. When i finally saw the dr i told him how upset i was that my son was going to miss his last tball game. His response was that he was going to miss a dinner meeting too. No compassion for my son who is visibly upset. I recently needed insurance approval for a procedure. I saw him at the end of June. I finally called to find out what was going on in the middle of August because they hadn't called and the paperwork has been approved and sitting there for about a month. The staff didn't even call to schedule the appointment like they said they would. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO.THIS DOCTOR!!! I have only gone a couple of times but every time there has been major issues. The office staff is terrible and I feel like I have to almost doctor myself and ask for what needed.
