UnityPoint Clinic Express Care at Peoria

I’ve been in twice. Once, I had taken a spill and broken my hand. I got to the clinic immediately but the paperwork and the slow pace to see a doctor made me wait almost two hours. My insurance is very good and I had my documentation together. Eventually I saw a nurse practitioner, who fashioned a clumsy sling around my shoulder and made me a referral to see an orthopedic specialist. They explained they could offer me no pain medication because they were not allowed to write prescriptions. My orthopedic visit wasn’t til two weeks later. I went home, let my broken hand heal crooked, and went in to have it rebroken and splinted by the ortho...What a complete waste of time...at least they got paid....seemed like a bunch of amateurs.
