Dr. Hoffman is a very caring doctor. I have multiple autoimmune diseases and she's been the best at handling my treatment. There has been a few times I waited a little longer than I should have had to over the years but she is worth it. She truly cares! I know she recently closed her office in South County but I will follow her!

Can't even get an appointment on the books, they tell you they will call you back and never do and then treat you like garbage for calling and asking after it's been WEEKS. Should've known, reviews are terrible and have to do mostly with the disrespectful and rude staff. Better off with going to another office that doesn't treat people like trash and actually has manners when it comes to customer service.

Dr Hoffmann is very knowledgeable and spends a good amount a time with you. She will also come back to see you if you ask the nurse because you have a new question. Certainly not lazy.

I was a patient of Dr. Hoffmann for 10 years. For the first few years the waiting time was not too bad. Then it progressively increased until there were times I would have to wait 3 hours to see the doctor for 10 minutes. That included all of the times she left the room to take a telephone call. I was fortunate that for a lot of those years I was able to see Kim. After she left everything got progressively worse. Getting a refill was a major ordeal - seeing Dr. Hoffmann for 5 minutes and not having even listen to my heart or check my joints became a normal visit. Having RA is difficult enough - having a doctor and staff that are inattentive, rude and disorganized is inexcusable. The best thing I ever did was never going back.

I really like Dr. Hoffmann, her receptionist is very rude. I have never in my life met such an uncaring staff member in a doctors office. No compasion L.G. I feel sorry Doctor Hoffmann must be forced to have her on her staff. I can't imagine anyone getting away with this on a regular basis from what I have read. I have to say the office manager was quick to respond back and remedy the situation L>G> caused in the first place. So thank you for that. Maybe someone should tell L.G. that the patients going there are already in pain and just trying to make it day to day. And to be treated like this is an outrage. And to be clear I am giving the helpfulness a terrible due to MS. L.G.'s attitude.

I have been seeing Dr. Hoffman since around 2005 for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and Fibromyalgia. I just had an appointment yesterday afternoon/evening after not seeing her since about 2015. My car broke down for the final time and I had no way to make a 120 mile round trip to St. Louis to see her. I ended up having to see a local pain management doc who, in about 6 months, managed to undo everything I had accomplished with Dr. Hoffman in the previous 10 years. But she was as knowledgeable as ever, wait time took a couple hours, which I always expect and plan for, but I have never in my life dealt with a more rude, hateful, disrespectful, unapproachable, woman who obviously hates her job and hates the patients even more. The receptionist was just unbelievable, it felt like the guy from "What Would You Do" was doing his hidden camera show to see how the patients would react! She literally made me so anxious that my blood pressure was sky high when the nurse took it and I started tearing up once I was out of sight of the secretary. I told her I was a patient of hers and saw her last about 18 months earlier due to no car, so they still have my records, right. She said no it's going to be like starting over, she said they had no records and I wasn't in the system. I was very upset to find out 10 years of records were. *poof* gone, I thought they had to keep them for many years. When I saw the nurse, however, she went over my paperwork and the. Address, phone number, med list, everything was from 2015! I was told that info was gone and now all those papers I filled out with painful arthritic hands were gone after handing them to the clerk. Dr. Hoffman is the greatest, but the anxiety and frustration that front lady gave me just makes my pain level, heart rate, blood pressure, and blood sugars go up. I hate taking anxiety meds but thank goodness I had them with me for once! If this secretary continues to work there and does lose her "I'm better than thou" crappy attitude I'd like to say I'd go elsewhere. Unfortunately great (or even not so bad) doctors are impossible to find. So I'll just keep praying the girl adjusts her attitude or gets replaced. A doc office full of people in severe pain don't need the added stress of, how my 6 year old put it, a mean as a witch woman. But as for Dr. Hoffman, there's no one better than her!

When I first started seeing Dr. Hoffman, for the most part, everthing seemed fine, however after a few appointments, I started noticing the rudness of the staff, the excessive wait times (30 minutes before the nurse saw me and at least another 30 minutes before Dr. Hoffman saw me. Then the last two appointments, she wanted me to taper down my medicine (at the time taking 5mg prednisone) but she prescribed me to take more than what I was previously taking (7.5mg). I lowered myself down to 2.5mg on my own. When I brought that up to her at the next appt, she didn’t seem to concerned about it. In face she yawned several times during my appt. She then prescribed be to take 5mg, which was what I was originally taking. My last straw was when she said that I would need labs for my next appointment and to go to LabCorp a week before my appointment and they will have the order in their system. I showed up at LabCorp and they did not have any lab orders for me.
I am lucky that none of these things cause any issues with my health, but I don’t want to take the chance any longer. I would advise anyone looking into Dr. Sandra Hoffman to steer clear.
