Absolutely AWFUL experience!! I was referred to this dr. from my pediatrician since my insurance at the time wouldn’t cover seeing their ENT. The staff was courteous. I told Dr. Malis my concerns with my son and he was extremely condescending with me. He was very arrogant and crass with his responses to my questions. He stated he refused to do the tonsillectomy on my child because I did not get the sleep study done (which was $1500 out of pocket for me) and about the complications of the procedure. Now I understand about being precautious about the procedure and possible complications but the tone of the whole appointment with him ($280 out of pocket mind you) was just appalling. There was absolutely no justification for him to have treated me and my child so poorly. He acted as though we were a burden even being there and had no concern whatsoever for my son. He should NOT work with children!! Would not recommend, 0/10 will never go back or refer ANYONE with a child that needs help to see him. Go to Nemours where you’ll actually get the help you need and be treated like a human being.

Awful ARNP Toni Malloris. My 15 month old son had tubes put in his ears after the suggestion of Toni. He had recurrent ear infections and chronic sinus congestion. The tubes are amazing at helping his ear infections. On a follow up visit it was advised he also needs his adenoids removed. We were advised by my child's pediatrician that the adenoids and tubes are usually done together to prevent having to go under anesthesia twice. When I asked toni about this at the follow up appt her response was that they missed it the first time around and that shes "sorry she isnt perfect, shes human makes mistakes". A completely preventable second surgery for my child under 2. The worst part is, after I informed my pediatrician...she stated she is no longer referring patients here because she is getting tons of complaints from patients about them. Would definitely not recommend this ENT office

Went here today because I was referred by an infectious disease doctor who wanted me to get a culture of my sinuses due to ongoing I infections. Upon arrival, I filled out paperwork, gave my ID and Insurance card. Then came the $50 co-pay. Nurse came and brought me back to a room. Asked questions and took vitals. I repeat, I told her I was just there for cultures. Then the PA came in. Again, I told her I needed the cultures for my infectious disease doctor to determine how to treat me. She listened to my medical needs and then said she'll get the doctor. Dr. Malis comes in and asks if I have had a cat scan. I said, yes, 3 so far. He said I need another one. I tell him I'm only here for the culture. He then says he doesn't do cultures in the office, only in surgery....REALLY. They would not refund my money for services they didn't provide. They knew exactly why I was there but proceeded to be greedy and take people's hard earned money. This guy is a liar, a cheat, and a thief. Now reading the reviews I see how poorly he's rated....shame on you you greedy

Staff is extremely unprofessional! I was told that if I didn’t get my 3 year old to calm down I would have to leave and reschedule and the doctor wouldn’t see me. My appointment was originally for this ties to be seen and then out pediatrician wanted an updated audiology report on him. The NP (so rude and yelled at my 3 year twice) wasn’t even going to look at them because I didn’t mention them while we were in the room and it was my fault that she wasn’t going to look at them. However, I mentioned it to the scheduler, the person who walked us back to the room, the audiologists. So naturally I thought that base was covered. The whole staff including the NP and who ever came into the room to tell me to get my son to calm down or leave, were all extremely unprofessional!!!

I don't know why this Dr. is only getting 2.5 stars he was professional and very good! I had a sinuplasty procedure and yes it was not fun but he was very thorough and walked me through everything, only thing is I wish I had taking the milligrams of pain reliever prior to procedure he suggested. I was sick since twenty twice sometime three time a year with flu like symptoms missing 2-3 days of work. I was blessed to hear about this and had it done, that was in 2017 it has been over year and half and I have not been sick. After reading all the review you have to ask yourself if you want a Dr. who is OCD or not...lol I will take OCD especially when it comes to my head, sinuses and health.

All of our experiences with this office have been negative. My Daughter was referred by her Orthodontist to follow up on some potential issues. At our initial visit we met with the PA who did not address all of the requests on the paper faxed by our Orthodontist. We had to go out in the hall to bring her back in so everything could be addressed. They seemed to be in a hurry, but at the conclusion of the appointment they decided to send my Daughter for allergy testing. They asked which lab location we would be going to so they could send them the information ahead of time. A couple weeks later we went to the lab and they didn’t have any information about the test my Daughter needed to take. I had to call the office to get them to fax the information to the lab and request that the record of our visit be sent to the referring Orthodontist. They said that they tried to fax the info to the lab, but stopped trying because it didn’t go through because they were having trouble with their fax machine. I had to wait 45 mins at the lab with my Daughter before the fax went through. They told me they sent the record of our visit to a Dr. I have never heard of. They insisted that I put that information on my paperwork. I said that there was no way because I had no idea who that Dr. was. Turns out that they were looking at another patient’s file!

At our 2nd and last visit we got to see Dr. Malis by request instead of the PA. The lady who escorted us back immediately asked at the beginning of our appointment if I had any complaints. I filled her in on the details regarding the lab test and records. Dr. Malis came in and was friendly at first but when my 11 year old asked what the long black instrument was in his hand he bluntly said it goes up your nose and down your throat. No one had prepared her for this so she was a bit freaked out. He then asked me if she was able to do this “because if she grabs it and breaks it that is $10,000.” He also said that he has plenty of 11 year olds that can go through with the examination. I was taken aback by his immediate abruptness regarding a child when I was told he specialized in pediatric ENT and some of my friends said great things about him. He also told me that perhaps I needed to find another ENT. So we will. He will not be anywhere near either one of my children. I will drive to Orlando or even Miami if I have to before we go back to this office! Horrible experience!

Took my daughter for ear pain, recommended allergy testing. Took her to lab at first opportunity. Paid $250 for blood work. Nearly two months later this office still says they don't have the lab work, push the ball to me to contact lab. I have done this and lab says they have sent twice, confirmed fax number. I've called the doctor's office and have been told Fran will call me back....let's see....

Went on the initial eval visit with my son and the doc was nice. Then went on the pre-op visit my 20 year old son due to the fact I would be caring for him post op--- we were moved to 4 different rooms because they were too busy and then the doc never looked at the CT scan I had dropped off 3 weeks before this visit so he'd be prepared for this visit (per his statement on the last visit), the doc finally came in and then he had to leave our room twice during our pre op visit to take a call and to do something else--- it was a very disjointed visit and we didn't feel like a priority to him but more of an inconvenience and then the doc became aggravated when I asked to clarify something and proceeded to tell me he's already dicsussed this "ad nauseum" with us. If it was me I would have walked out and found another surgeon. Did he not think I knew what that meant? And how pompous was that? My son still went forward with the ballon therapy and now he has another sinus infection so it wasn't as effective as discussed "as nauseum". Oh --- and did I mention that I am a registered nurse and now my son said he won't go back after he does his required post op visits.

Please do not let the negative reviews discourage you from Dr. Malis. I had a balloon sinuplasty done by him, and he and his staff was nothing short of amazing. Dr. Malis took his time with me and answered all of my questions. He is extremely knowledgable in what he does, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing an ENT doctor.
