I just had a gall bladder removed, had excellent service from Dr.Kilmurry, he was excellent.

I just had a double incisional/ventral hernia repair done with mesh and Dr. Kilmurry was excellent! He was able to re open my old scars from a previous surgery instead of making new ones. He spoke with me in the OR before i was put to sleep, saw me in the recovery room when I woke up, AND saw me twice before I was discharged home the next day! I’m not sure why the negative reviews frankly. I mean, yes, he isn’t “touchy freely and warm fuzzy”, most surgeons are not, but he knows his stuff and that’s what is important. He is highly respected from what I heard while I was at St. Mary’s Hospital and his team was great. His receptionist Theresa is also fantastic. When you treat people kindly, you will get that in return. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and make a second appointment before your surgery of you still have more questions or worries. That’s what I did. Thank you Dr. Kilmurry!

He is The doctor . You can rely on his knowledge ,expertise in his field ,punctual ( when is app. via phone call ) , caring surgeon . My husband and I recommend his expertise to everyone . He did operating my dear spouse the lungs successfully and we are so grateful having him as our surgeon . Period !!!!

Dr. Kilmurry is an excellent surgeon. He saved my life. He is very caring and knowledgeable. His receptionist, Theresa, is very kind and caring and does her job exceptionally well, even though it is a very busy office. Appointments made promptly and her communication with me was outstanding. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kilmurry and his staff to anyone.

Unpleasant receptionist who never returns messages. Dr. Kilmurry is not interested in providing clinical explanations nor is he caring enough to further investigate medical issues, seems aloof and not interested in helping because he seems too busy with students in his office and pallative patients at Freeport hospital.

You would not think this person has a family, there is no care or compassion. Very little communication. I do not have faith in him at all. Best to see experts in London or Toronto.

This doctor performed an emergency surgery on my husband’s gall bladder which ultimately resulted in a diagnosis of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He had the unfortunate duty of communicating the diagnosis and did it with great care and compassion. His receptionist has been nothing short of an Angel in our dealings with her - always kind and prompt in arranging tests and procedures. Dr. Kilmurry referred my husband to a wonderful haematologist/oncologist in KW and we were very grateful for his speedy action in doing that. This doctor keeps copious notes for every appointment or phone consultation and I find that very reassuring, as well. Going forward most of my husband’s care will be with the cancer team but I was happy to learn that Dr. Kilmurry will be following up with some future procedures. He is old school in all the good ways and we are so thankful to have him in our court. I highly recommend this doctor.
