Dr. Cotton preformed 6 nose and throat surgeries on my two kids between the ages of 4 and 6. Went in to have my daughters tunes looked at to see if they fell out and he looks in her nose and says she has a deviated septum and needs surgery. I asked him to show me. I told him I don't see it. He tried to make me feel stupid and said schedule her surgery on the way out. We went for a second opinion and she did not have a deviated septum just swelling on both sides from allergies. I believe my kids went through unnecessary surgeries at the hand of this doctor. But at least he has a collection of some of the most expensive sports cars, at the hand of my children's health. Thank the good lord this man is not performing unnecessary surgeries on children anymore. Makes me sick to my stomach.

My son has been a patient of Dr Cotton for 13 yrs. Best in the world fixed my sons airway. We travel from Long Island for the best care. No one on Long Island specializes in airway or has any idea about complicated airways. I'am so grateful to have found such a wonderful doctor.

Couldn't have been more impressed with this Dr. My son had a nasty sports injury and he was very compassionate and understanding. He not only made us feel more at ease, but also our teenager. Would recommend him to others!

I have been dealing with Dr. Robin Cotton for almost 20 years. My son was born with cleft lip and palate. Dr. Cotton has a DRY sense of humor (typical of most British people). Some people take offense, some just take it in stride. Dr. Cotton has always been there for questions and to answer ANY situation we might run into. Another benefit of seeing Dr. Cotton is, unlike most of the Children's doctors, he will see you through your adulthood (or until he retires). I can appreciate that because then the FULL history follows the child. We are not animals, we are human beings, and a full history, sometimes, might be beneficial to know what the person has gone through in their life.
Dr. Cotton is the best in the field and has been doing his avocation for many many years and Cincinnati Children's is blessed to have him.

While I don’t doubt Dr. Cotton is amazing at his job, his bed side manner is absolutely miserable. Our experience was similar to others- rude, talked over me when I just had a few questions, didn’t seem to want to be bothered with my questions in general, etc. I realize my daughters surgery was very minor (tubes) but while he does this procedure multiple times a day, this was our first time going through it. A small reminder from Children’s that people are paying for his service might serve him well next time he wants to act like he’s doing someone a favor. It literally was as if he expected me to apologize for inconveniencing him. Which is too bad because all of this overshadowed the operation itself. The nurses and other hospital were AMAZING though.

He is very rude. Would not take the time to answer my question or explain things.

Poor bedside manner ... if you are looking for an easy consult, look for another ENT. Not good with young children.
