someone who commented previously had the exact same experience as I had:
Dr. Steward may be very knowledgeable; however, it's difficult for me to say, as he spent less than 5 minutes with me. This is including the time it took to do the ultrasound of my thyroid. My situation is compounded by other medical issues. It was also clear from the ultrasound that I would require further treatment. I felt pressured into making a decision right then, as well as completely overwhelmed by the experience. (After seeing my primary care doc regarding this, I made a different decision, and saw a different doctor.)

I have heard he's a great surgeon. I'm happy for him and his patients. However, The whole bedside manner, not being so intensely brusque is something Where there is a lot of room to improve.
He literally scared me away!

I received top-notch treatment December 2017-January 2018! Dr. Steward found a bad parathyroid gland on me & removed it. Had no problems whatsoever. Highly recommend him and if I have any other issues in his expertise, I most certainly will go right back to him!

1st visit was disappointing. After waiting a month to get in, this Dr spent less than 12 minutes with me , including a brief 1 minute ultrasound. I left there with no resolve but to live with 3 large nodules and have it checked every year. It was very little information and then I was rushed out of the office. He charged my insurance co $900 for that visit. The staff barely said a word.

I assume this doctor has knowledge but would not know because he spent a total of three minutes with me. I just didn't have a thyroid he could remove I guess.

I had my thyroidectomy on 11/11/16. Dr Steward was wonderful throughout this entire process. He medical secretary however was awful she would not call back, send out pre-op paperwork and booked my post-op exam way to early. His office called me 20 mins before my appointment and asked if I could come another day because they made a mistake. I said no, are you serious I am on my way who calls 20mins before an appointment an automated confirmation came a weel before my surgery than an email confirmation three days before my surgery than a reminder on the day of my surgery and you call 20mins before I am to arrive for a 1pm appointment to ask try an cancel. His staff made the whole process stressful I am a nurse and would never conduct myself in the manner that his office staff have. It does not matter if a person is out of the office for a few days the quality of care a patient recieves should never be compromised EVER. I should not have to get my pre-op paperwork faxed to me the night before my pre-op physical because you telle while eating on the phone that you haven't had a chance to send it out yet and it is 9 day before my surgery. I will say Dr
Steward was on time, kind, gentle, answered all of my questions all around great doctor. Even though his staff don't make the grade he most definitely does and despite his staff would recommend Dr Steward as a surgeon and a doctor

I had my thyroid removed by Dr. Steward. The follow-up was excellent. He knows his business, is concerned about his patients and his communication is excellent.

I actually e mailed him, as I had a possibly more serious thyroid cancer. He emailed me back that night, offering to get me in that very week. I was early and he still took me right in. Did min invasive surgery. Went home the same day and had perfect calcium levels. My scar is tiny tiny. Also took lymph nodes in area(last surgeon interviewed would not). They were positive so I went to the right guy. He is great.

First appointment with Dr. Steward went better than expected for someone of his caliber. Wait time was minimal, less than 30 minutes, and I don't wait on doctors.Staff was professional and curteous. This was a consult, so we'll see how the next one goes. Seems very knowlegable and helpful, very patient and good bedside manner. Refreshing for a specialty doctor!
