After watching the video one can only wonder why any mother would trust prenatal care to this "doctor"

I sadly have had Dr. Trouton D and E due to unsuccessful pregnancies. They were essentially second trimester losses. Dr. Trouton was amazing. She was professional and kind.
I had a massive bleed at 2am in my home after a medical D and C. I fainted in a pool of my own blood with Dr. Trouton on the phone. I called her all night as I felt the clots were too large. She called 911 to my home and I was rushed to the ER.

She also came in at 6am to VGH to see me. She did not have to see me...it was her chose out of compassion. I never want to see her again as she represent a sad time in my life but I am glad it was HER who supported me through it all.

I eventually had my final baby after 3 years. Thanks to her technique during the D and C...no issues with scarring or infection.

I chose to get a nexplanon implant at this clinic because of their "trauma inclusive" environment. When I show up a sign is there saying no family or friends are allowed in because of covid. I have severe PTSD and me getting that implant alone is not an option. I should have been told this over the phone. My mother and I are both fully vaxxed and would gladly wear masks and use hand sanitiser. The kicker here is they suggest I take one of their employees in the room to hold my hand. Do you guys really know enough about PTSD to be working in this field? I will never be going back to this clinic.

Hats off to Dr. Trouton. She is THE Doctor.
I am Non Binary as well as very sensitive mentally and physically (not easiest patient to help). Saw Dr. Trouton to remove my Mirena IUS six days after a very difficult attempt elsewhere. I felt completely heard, understood, and respected. This healthcare professional cares on a grand scale. When I was brought to her room for the procedure Dr. Trouton immediately met me with compassion. She knew how nervous I was feeling even though I had taken medication to calm me. Her great sense humor helped to relax me even more. I was provided hand squeezers to hold/squeeze and given full warning/communication with tools and touch. Our appointment was so smooth, quick, and pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Konia Trouton at Vancouver Island Women's Clinic.
The staff in reception are also phenomenal.

So grateful for Dr T and staff at clinic. They are angels who come to the rescue of those who need medical support. We are lucky to have a star team of women on the island that support women as they do. Compassionate care all around.

I am very upset. My daughter travelled to Victoria to get an IUD put in (she was told Victoria is a better place to get the procedure done). She had complications soon afterward. She went to emergency to get it removed but they couldn't find it! A second doctor finally found it but said it didn't need to be removed. A couple of months later my daughter was still not feeling right and made an appointment for today to get it removed but they can't find it AGAIN! I've been trying to call Dr. Trouton but I can't get through and there is no email to make an inquiry. I wish my daughter had looked at this page before her procedure because it seems to me a lot of people have issues with this practice. My daughter is very scared and this experience will last in her memory. Terrible!
