I wore glasses for 20 years. Without glasses, my near and far sightedness was very poor. After my surgery from Dr. Law, it has been a life changing experience. My vision is similar to what it was when I was 30 years old. I do not require glasses for any distance and I can read the fine print on everything! Thank you Dr. Law!

Recently I had Cataracts and Glaucoma surgeries performed by Dr.Law on both eyes. He is awesome,kind,patient, skilled and excellent sugeron,he made a scary situation something I could handle. I feel lucky and blessed.

I am a 68-year-old immigrant Chinese elderly. I can only speak simple English. I was blind in my right eye in my early years. Myopia and astigmatism in my left eye suffered from cataract in 2020. I am afraid of light, dry eyes, blurred, and abnormal mood. depressed.
Although the success rate of cataract surgery is very high, there is also a possibility. If it fails, I will be 100% blind in both eyes, and the quality of life in my later years will be extremely poor. Therefore, my surgery is very risky for both the patient and the doctor.
Dr. Francis C.H Law is a well-known cataract expert in Vancouver. He has a lot of research on difficult diseases and is well-known in ophthalmology circles in Canada and the United States. Therefore, after many comparisons, I finally chose this famous doctor to perform my operation. Dr. Law has excellent medical skills and is proficient in laser and phacoemulsification cataract surgery. He is proficient in three languages, English, Cantonese and Mandarin. This is very important, which is very beneficial to the communication of the disease and the negotiation of treatment plans between doctors and patients. According to my special situation, Dr. Law helped me choose Extend Depth of Focus Program lenses, and I chose laser surgery.
My operation on October 5th was very successful. It took less than a quarter of an hour. It was painless and I didn’t need an eye mask. I only needed to wear sunglasses. My daughter accompanied me out of the hospital. I was able to see the natural scenery clearly. My heart is full of hope. On the seventh day, my eyesight returned to what it was when I was 40 years old. On the 15th day, the vision test at the clinic reached 20/20. Both long and intermediate distances were very clear. I am very satisfied. I can drive and work again.
I am very grateful to Dr. Law, he is very warm and patient. Every time I visit the doctor, he can answer my list of questions one by one, and, at the end, ask, do you have any other questions? In addition, Dr. Law also has a well-organized medical team. They are very friendly to patients and responsible for their work. In particular, Angela Chiu Office Manager is skilled, patient and responsive. Brenda and Martin treat patients kindly and positively. Proactively help solve problems.
Dr. Law has a lot of patients. It is true that the waiting time is a bit longer, but I think this just shows his superb medical skills, good reputation, and everyone trusts him, so it is worth spending more time to see a doctor.
In summary, I strongly recommend Dr. Law to cataract patients.
Yes, whenever I look up at the stars at night and look at the beautiful White Rock across the sea, my heart is filled with gratitude to Dr. Law and his team. May the good people have a safe life!

I had 2 cataract surgeries with Dr Law. Both surgeries were very successful, and I was able to get the kind of vision most suited to me as they offered various options for focus of the new lenses. He is a knowledgeable and efficient surgeon who did a great job form my point of view.
Excellent service from all staff. Very smooth process, staff are knowledgeable and helpful, esp. the manager, who met with me twice to help with decision making.

Prof. Francis is a busy busy professional. He is in high demand as the waiting room is ALWAYS packed whenever i visit his office. I had questions pertaining post-operative care of my right eye and he assured me that my eye is fine and that the lens implant is safe for LIFE. I needed at professional opinion/reassurance.

I had additional questions to ask Francis and he was super super GENEROUS with his time in response to my emails. Most doctors (i can't think of any!) don't have an email address where you can address questions (to a busy doctor) but Francis really took the time to reassure me that my glasses/prescription would not "interfere" with my implant lens (I needed a doctor with years of experience working with lens/implants to reassure me that wearing corrective lens (in addition to the implant is safe). I was taken aback by the fact that he took the time to write a response to my query. FANTASTIC.
