Tried to set up new patient after reading good reviews. waited a long time on hold only to have them take my name and number for a call back. I never heard from them. Not a good sign

We switched pediatricians in July 2014, I accidentally booked an appt with another dr meyers. They fit us in NO WAIT and had the best experience with the caring PA Wes , he listened took his time and I can't say enough about my experience after 4 years with a doc i never liked(Perez ). I'm a real Sarasota mom who rarely writes a review but you have to compliment the exceptional ones as much as lambaste the ones who deserve it.

Dr. Meyer is amazing. Always takes time to explain everything and answer any questions we have. Very quick to put a rest to worries about any issues we may have and the office staff has always been pleasant. I never have trouble getting a same day appointment and the fact that they have walk-in hours really puts my mind at ease.

My brother and I saw Dr. Ted all through our childhood. We both had asthma though mine was severe and he was always right on track with my care. My two sons now see him and he is exactly the same...calm, laid back, kind, yet aggressive to treat an illness if needed. He immediately put my son on a nebulizer when i brought him in from a cough and wheezing. My kids actually like go see him for well visits!

If you like laid back, Dr M is the ped for you. He visited my new born son in the hospital which I really liked. I like laid back and I know if there's urgency in his voice then it's something for me to be concerned about.my son really doesn't like going to Drs and gets worked up... They don't even try and console him. I don't think much of his staff tho and nurse are just "ok". front desk unfriendly so far especially receptionist. She doesn't smile and really seems crabby. If she's burnt out, she should get anothe job! I like the separate sick/well waiting rooms, but don't feel all that clean especially floors...and maybe a few more toys/ books would be nice perhaps. I'm being picky but honest.

We switched from another pediatrician office to Dr. Meyer and feel very comfortable and confident in his ability as a doctor. He is caring takes his time and does not over medicate children (I don't want my son on any sort of medication especially when so few drug trails are done on children and we cannot be sure of the overall long term affects). The office staff is simply doing their job, cut them some slack. It's not fun dealing with insurance companies all day. My husband is a doctor too, and we know how it works. If you are paying cash the prices are very reasonable especially when it's a sick visit. The other comments were truly unfair. Some people just can't be pleased.

I went to Dr. Meyer as a child and decided to take my children to him. My second son was born in November and seemed to be healthy. Dr. Meyer noticed a tug when he breathed and took note of it. All the nurses discounted and downplayed his concern for the breathing and discharged us. Dr. Meyer wanted to be safe and asked that I come in the following Monday to check on the breathing. He did a typical exam and (stil tugging a little when he breathed) and said that he just didn't know why he was doing this but he wanted to be safe rather than sorry. He got me in to All Childrens that afternoon and it turned out my son had a serious heart condition. He was flown to St. Pete where they operated on him the next morning. Dr. Meyer saved my sons life and I will forever be indeted to him indebted to him. I loved him for my first son and love him even more now.

We have used Dr Meyer for my daughters who are now 23 and 24 and my teenage son who is 14. Dr Meyer has kept my asthmatic son out of the hospital more times than I can count. He is calm and does have a laid back attitude which is very helpful when things are stressful for you or your child. His staff is friendly and always warm and helpful. My grandchildren now go to him and I would recommend him to anyone I know. I trust him with my most prized possessions, my children.

Love Doctor Meyers ;) My son has been seeing him since he came home from the hospital almost three years ago. Dr. Meyers is very good with him and takes the time to answer any questions that we might have. He isn't not quick to medicate and will discuss other possible solutions. They have sick children hours in the morning, last minute appointments throughout the day, and Saturday hours. Awesome staff and quick treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Meyers.
