Sometimes, professionals are not personable and that’s okay; all I need is medical help. Dr. Ismaili has been no help at all. I have been having gastrointestinal issues for 10+ years- reflux, stomach pains, etc. My issues got so bad my family doctor referred me to Dr. Ismaili for a scope. Immediately, he told me it was my anxiety making up my symptoms and that I was having all these problems due to my SSRI medication. I had to beg for a scope, and I’ve been waiting 3+ months for the pathology report and Dr. Ismaili and his colleagues are willingly holding the results from me. I’ve since been diagnosed celiac; my symptoms were not in my head. Steer clear from this doctor, he doesn’t deserve a medical license.

I have seen Ismaili since I was 12-13. The last time I went to see Ismaili I was at the hospital for a scope and the staff was extremely friendly however anytime I went to his office they were rude and made me feel bad for having to be there.
He always told me that all of my GERD Issues were due to alcohol and coffee even though I don’t drink coffee. Always belittled me and told me I had a drinking problem and needed to not consume any alcohol or acidic foods for 6+ months to heal my esophageal lining before I get esophageal cancer. 10/10 would not recommend… wait for another GI

There are some people who are born to be Doctors and then there is this man who should never have been one. He may have passed his exams but sure was rude, indifferent and and brisk with me. I had some GI issues that he seemed not to care about and worse dismissed my concerns. He is beyond arrogant He is rough and lack any compassion whatsoever. His 'staff' is just as rude and arrogant. Seems as if I was a bother to both to them. I will never go back there.

I had the pleasure of dealing with this doctor. I was very nervous about my test, and his nurses made sure that I was comfortable and provided information as to what was going to happen. He also explained what would happen and spoke to me afterwards. He called several weeks later to provide an update to the test and regarding future tests. I have nothing negative to say, as it was a pleasure speaking with him.

Horrible experience.
Didn't take my concerns seriously at all. Talked to me like I was stupid. Which was unfortunate as I work in the industry, in the same subspecialty. He also read me path results from a prior exam and told me everything was normal. Little did he know that I was told the results and things were NOT normal and I was put on medication previously a yr. before.
I would never return to his office.

As a health care worker in the field for 34 years I was completely impressed with Dr. Ismaili and his staff. He was kind, attentive, personable, knowledgeable and extremely proficient. Between phone conversations before, meeting him during my Mother's colonoscopy and ordering necessary exams to follow he always made me feel confident that everything was being done properly and in a timely matter. This may seem like an expectation but I will assure you working in Health Care these days it is not happening this way for many. Thank you Dr. Ismaili for being great at what you do and taking pride in your job.

I had a terrible experience with this physician. he completely disregarded my extreme abdominal pain when the first test he ran didn't show any concrete results. Told me to eat more fiber and that he couldn't help me. Incredibly frustrating after waiting several months for an appointment.
