I have been going to Doctor Wong my entire life. I am now 26 years old. My children have also been going to him since they were born. He is very rarely on time (although I have had some miracles where I am in and out quickly). But he is the best doctor I have ever dealt with. I have gone to a lot of walk-ins over the years and he has always come out on top. I have never gotten bad advice from him. He is always there to answer question if you call, and spends his lunch/weekends calling patients back. What more could you ask for? He cares about his patients. I am sad that he is going to retire one day and I won't have him as doctor. I moved about 4 years ago and make an hour drive to see him, but it is worth it!

I just recently started seeing Dr.Wong. So far so good - he is very helpful and thorough BUT he is always extremely late. For a 9:50am appointment I was not even seen by him until 11:10am! The first appointment I had with him I waited 1.5 hours with 2 small kids :(

Stress is the cause of certain mental and physical ailments. When Dr. Wong spends his entire lunch time trying to help a patient with stess factors is he or isn't he practicing preventitive medicine? Let's be realistic. He is not a naturopath, however, at the carrot common one could find a list of natural medicine practitioners and yes we do need to come to terms with our mortality!

Once told me to make peace with my own mortality when I went in with health concerns, be prepared to argue your case with him unless you are already sick. He is not interested in preventative or natural medicine.

In response to “Can be friendly and a good listener to only a few…”- I tend to think that such negativity arises from within oneself due to issues unrelated to the doctor. What prevented this individual and/or his family from seeking another physician earlier if they were so dissatisfied with his service or lack thereof? I have been Dr. Wong’s patient since my daughter was a toddler and she is a medical doctor now. Using strict guidelines and criteria, with respect to what constitutes a competent physician, I can say with confidence that Dr. Wong exceeds all expectations. A remarkable physician and an authentic human being. A. Sadler, Toronto.

For over 25 years Dr. Wong has provided my family with the utmost care, compassion, respect and accuracy of diagnosis. If he is late, this is because he spends whatever time is necessary to assess your needs. Even after all these years this is still refreshing. Imagine not having to feel like you are part of an assembly line of swipe and go numbers. A truly up-to-date, knowledgeable, and human family doctor. He tells it as it is with gentle professionalism and breaks down time barriers to make sure you are fully assessed and referred to the right-fit specialists when required. Even when we were in the Middle East he kept his line open to hear our concerns and steer us in the right direction for remote diagnosis. We salute this wonderful, dedicated and gifted man and are lucky to have been introduced to him. James & Meri Hill, Brampton, Ontario.

Can be friendly and a good listener to only a few. As for his knowledge, totally outdated - when was the last time he attended a training session or a conference? We went to him for more than 20 years. Thank God we changed location and doctors! Our overall health improved and our impressions of the medical system now rank higher.

I have been going to Dr. Wong for about 30 years. He is VERY well informed and current on recent studies. Terrific diagnostician and very caring. It's a 40-minute drive from my house to his office but well worth it. Best doctor!
