I was DOA on arrival at the OHH. Less than one minute from the hospital I had a massive heart attack. Since I was unresponsive I don’t remember what happened except from what others tell me. I was defibrillated, stents placed in the blocked arteries, and put in a medically induced coma for a week. When they brought me out of the coma, I only had snippets of what had happened to me. The team that saved my life included Dr. Norman, Dr Fixley, Dr Patel, as well as several other physicians and excellent nurses. I would not be here today if not for the excellent physicians, nurses staff and care I received at the OHH. Thank you for saving my life. Jan Morgan
I went into the er with mild chest pains and a blood pressure fluctuating widely from 93/60 and a pulse of 58 to a blood pressure of 165/105 with a pulse of 102.. all of this occurred while sitting on the couch at rest. I have also had 2 previous strokes and I have had 5 events . Mild strokes or tia's in the last three weeks. I had been to mercy on Thursday to have a doppler ultrasound done on my carotid arteries to check for blockage. I have not got that report back yet. My blood pressure was 157/95 pulse 88 when took into the er. A few minutes later it automatically checked it again it had fell to 137/ 75 pulse 84 in about 10 minutes they checked it again and it was 119/ 65 pulse 84 and they said that my blood pressure was good even though it was steadily dropping and I told them it would go very high then suddenly drop out. I told them that it was not normal for me .when I am not having a issue it runs 12 7/78 or so with a pulse in the mid 70's the doctor came in and told me my purse was fine he didn't see a problem and they would check it a few more times but it didn't appear that anything was wrong with me. He said this all in a very condescending way like I was faking or something. Everyone there was nice and professional except the doctor his name was Jorge gonzalez. He was extremely rude and condescending. And I told the nurse to bring me my release papers that I would not let him or anyone else talk to me like that I wasn't there seeking drugs or seeking attention. I hate going to the doctor or hospital and I don't go if it is not absolutely necessary. I will never go to this hospital again I could have gotten better treatment at a vet clinic.
This may be a great place to have surgery but my experience with a cardiologist and (3) separate out-patient tests have been shockingly terrible. From extremely slow follow-up information, to lack of test results, to miss billing 5+ months after the fact, to a total lack of quality customer service, to just not seeming to care; I am just beside myself as I had such high hopes. I have had serious surgeries in (4) different local hospitals and I can tell you I am done with this one. I even have family that works there!
No other Hospital can even come close!! The most compassionate caring Nurses and staff!! Doctors are Amazing!! It's like staying at a 5 star resort and treated like your and your family are the most important patients in the hospital!! Once you stay at OHH... NOTHING... NO OTHER HOSPITAL can even comes remotely near to the care you receive there.!!! Hands Down the BEST!!!
