An investigation is needed into the massive negligence and incompetence at this hospital. Dr Meredith Chiasson, Dr. Alex Nelson, Dr. David Manning are falsifying medical documents to cover up big mistakes being made here. The respiratory, internal medicine and Echo department are blatantly corrupted and plagued with falsified medical documents. This prevents patients from being treated properly, cover ups mistakes at this hospital, and patients are dying as a result.

Patients are dying needlessly here and it is being ignored by the heads of departments and the hospital as well as the NS Health Authority. Everyone is protected by lawyers, compliments of the government (tax payers monies). I will look into making complaints with Human rights as being denied adequate and/or competent health care and causing death of patients would seem to violate the human rights laws that Canada has signed. Yet, millions, if not billions are being funded to this mess of an (un)healthy (Un)caring system. NS is part of Canada and Canadians are dying as a result. If the province refuses to step in to stop the corrupted system they have and continue to perpetuate, then maybe the Canadian government needs to step in.

Filthy, dirty hospital filled with rude and arrogant staff who could care less about helping patients. A multi million dollar waste of taxpayers monies. Move out of the Maritimes in order to get health care in Canada.

This so called hospital is run by the brain dead and 'dummed down' medical staff from Dalhousie Medical School. When mistakes are made, they are taught to cover it up with made up medical reports, pull medical reports and re-write them, and get other buddies (what they refer to as doctors, residents) to cover up their messes. Poor excuse for a hospital, no excuses for the incompetence that prevails here. Letting patients die, killing patients with negligence is the NS Health Authority's way to solve their physician shortage. Less patients and no need to recruit doctors. There is no competent doctor or specialist who would ever step foot into this nest of negligence and corruption.

The ECHO department is as bad as the respiratory department. The hospital is plagued with incompetence. The NS Health Authority is as diseased as the hospitals it runs. No wonder the doctors are running and recruitment is useless. No competent health care in NS. This excuse of a hospital is an example of how bad the health care system really is in this province. Where is all the government money really going for health care???

3rd world health care would be a step up. The NS Health Authority is ultimately responsible and there needs to be an urgent and transparent investigation in regards to the denial of appropriate health care at the Infirmary. It appears the Infirmary is incapable of being run in any sort of legitimate fashion and cannot govern itself appropriately. No investigations and cover ups are the norm. The government cannot or will not clean up the health care system in NS. A totally broken down health care system with ongoing bogus promises to clean it up. Unfortunately patients are dying as a result.

Respiratory Department at this hospital is infamous for incompetence and corruption. The department is in total chaos and the incompetence are well known by both the head of the department and the hospital. If referred to a doctor who works at this department, ask for another referral. It could save your life.

According to Dr. Nelson, there is no respirologist who will do lung assessments for lung transplant assessments in his department. According to the lung transplant NS site, there are supposedly 2 doctors in his department who do assessments. Regardless, I was told I had to be sent to the States to get an assessment as there was NO specialist in NS to do the appropriate assessment. Dr. Nelson works with the Head of the Respiology Dept, Dr. Hernandez. The NS lung association needs to update their information.

The Respiratory Department is run by profs, assistant profs and Residents from Dalhousie Medical School, who, at present (ongoing) will cover up all mistakes and illegal acts of others. One such cover up mentioned involves the Dalhousie Medical School. It does not want another public relations nightmare, like their previous Dental School PR nightmare, where students were bragging of their plans to give drugs illegally to females, drugs like Versed, to conduct unimaginable, illegal violations against females. The respirologists at the Halifax Infirmary openly claim they will cover up any damages and will prevent any females, who have been harmed by such illegal acts, from receiving any life saving health treatment AND will suffer further retaliation if they go public or try to seek medical help for damages resulting from mistakes made and illegal acts done to them. It is not only damages from females being illegally given Versed; but, all other mistakes from others. Their threats (unethical at the very least) have been followed through on, so many times. They will knowingly allow patients to die to protect all mistakes. The respiratory department at the Halifax Infirmary is actively promoting, practicing and teaching how to cover up mistakes so there will be no accountability, no health care, and those unfortunate patients will suffer further health care problems, where these so called doctors, specialists, Residents (learning the tricks of the trade) are well aware, and even state that there will be fatalities as a result. Falsifying records is the norm at this department. One must wonder, what other departments at this hospital are doing the same. There needs to be an open, transparent INVESTIGATION into the Respiratory Department AND this Hospital before more patients are knowingly harmed and will die as a result. An investigation that is NOT conducted by those participating and benefiting from such cover ups. Until this practice is stopped, all patients are at risk and more patients will die unnecessarily.

Respirology Department is totally incompetent and caused further harm to a young patient due to the actions of Dr. Meredith Chiasson. Saw Dr. Meredith Chiasson who refused to do any assessment and made a diagnosis that could not be backed with any medical evidence. It was a rare disease she had diagnosed and then refused to send patient for the life saving medication that would be needed to save the life of this young patient. She was covering up for a medical mistake of a patient being given an overdose of VERSED and aspirated when she went into a respiratory arrest and an airway insertions were done incorrectly. The young woman was denied health care, an assessment, exposed to corrupted abuse at this facility where Chiasson is also helped to cover up her abuses and corrupted acts. NS not only has poor health care but it is CORRUPTED. This hospital facility is promoting and covering up the death of patients. Worse yet, they get to abuse them before they die. What a system
