I cannot say enough about my appreciation for Dr. Chung and his entire team. From my first diagnosis through treatment and the operation he performed to remove my cancerous esophagus, his enthusiasm, professionalism, knowledge and empathy were all amazing. Dr. Chung was very detailed and explained everything that was going to happen in surgery. He performed a lobectomy to remove the cancer in my lung. He is easy to talk to and gives easy to understand information when questioned.

This surgeon like someone said earlier is an Angel from God. He has looked after two people in my family in the last 3 years. Both are doing really well and we are very grateful! My sister is from Ottawa and when she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, she wanted to be cared for by Dr. Chung and his team. I first encountered Dr. Chung as a dying man. I had nearly bled to death from spontaneous hemopneumothorax by the time I came under his excellent care. The initial surgery was a complete success and I walked out of the hospital 3.5 days later!

Dr Wiley Chung is my personal hero. I have never been so thoroughly and compassionately cared for by any physician or specialist. Not only did he find the cancer hiding in my lung, but every moment ensured that I was listened to and given excellent care. I have never, even with many years of chronic pain, met a doctor more dedicated and flexible regarding eradicating pain than Dr. Chung. He never made me feel that my symptoms pre-cancer were anything but genuine, and carefully came up with a pain management program that has restored my quality of life. He listens, never rushes me through an appointment, always explains procedures thoroughly and post biopsy surgery directed me to a highly professional group of oncologists and care specialists. He has respected my faith, which as a nun is paramount for me in any healing process, and never suggested that I might need to consider the situation from another point of view. I always feel sincere caring and compassion from this gifted and dedicated man. He has been a genuine blessing to my life, especially now that I am beginning to fight this disease. Any time I have needed either a consultation or prescription, Dr Chung has responded right away- because he genuinely cares for his patients, and I consider it a privilege to be one of them. This angel from God saved my life. After eight years of being told that there is nothing wrong with me. He examined me, operated on me, fixed me, cared for me and always stated when I left his office, " If you need to see me call the office for an appointment."
