Ratings for Dr. Jane Wu
2.5
Horrific and dangerous doctor. I wish I could send in a formal complaint however I’m too ill. Please please everyone send in formal complaints if you are able. I’m sure there are so many like me that cannot send in formal complaint to college and this is a reason she is still practicing.
Extremely rude, aggressive, and degrading. Very unprofessional with no compassion. She should be a border guard.
She works for 'rocketdoctor'. She was supposed to call for a phone consultation. She did not call and then I got blamed for supposedly missing the appointment and was asked to pay $40.00. I called the health ministry and found out that they hadn't heard of rocketdoctor and Ontario no longer pays them through the Ontario health ministry. I had to rate each category but I don't really know about staff, helpfulness or knowledge, so I just put 2 as she hasn't got a great rating.
She is rude, and does not listen to the patient. She came in unprepared, went and read the file, and would not listen to new info.
Her staff were fine. The entire appointment with Dr. Wu was bizarre. The walls of the large waiting area are plastered with several paintings by Dr. Wu, (she has signed her name on the front of each of them). There are multiple signs instructing that filming/recording is banned… gee, I wonder why. She didn’t come out when she called me for my appointment so I would know which room to go to, just barked my name from inside her office and then immediately told me to take off my shirt with her in the room, then snapped at me for my discomfort (I was there for her opinion on a white mark on my back). I don’t know that she said hello. My skin is very pale, and I had been told by other doctors the white mark was best visualized with something called a woods lamp. She said she couldn’t see the white mark, but made condescending remarks about the number of moles on my back and said that was what was concerning to her. I told her about the woods lamp and she replied her eyesight was very good, so she didn’t need it (but she couldn’t see the mark). She told me there was no white mark (there is) and so I should go. I said if the moles were concerning to her, could she refer me to a dermatologist, who might also be able to look at the white patch. She said she didn’t know any dermatologists personally so she would not refer me or anyone else to dermatology. Bizarre. Bizarre. Bizarre. If these reviews are anything to go by, clearly several people are making significant complaints to the college of physicians about her. Not sure what balance of more harm than health “care” the college is fine with, but my interaction with her was degrading, humiliating, and harmful because it delayed me receiving appropriate treatment. And let’s not forget, billed by her to MSP.
I had a consult visit to review results of testing done. Did not review any results with me and refused to give me copies of my test results. She was upset at my intolerance to meds and did not believe i was having adverse affects. She then overlooked my allergies and prescribed me meds that I have allergy to. Clearly inexperienced dismissive and judgemental!!
I highly recommend Dr. Wu and thanks her very much for her treatment. My blood pressure has been high more than 10 years, other doctors did not find the cause, but Dr.Wu immediately found the cause, and, very effective, help me contact other specialists for treatment. She is very professional and really patient-oriented.She is very respectful and really considerate of me.
I have never dealt with such a rude doctor. She spent the whole appointment looking at her computer and not speaking to me directly. She told me that my health issues were all in my head. The appointment was a waste of my time, and luckily another doctor was able to help me reach a diagnosis some time later. Probably would have gotten better results by using google.
I do have to agree with these comments. Please take warning when seeing Dr.Wu. She is dismissive, judgmental, condescending and uncaring.
Dr Jane Wu is brilliant and gets to the heart of the matter. Her professional research has saved my life. I highly recommend her , she diagnosed my condition after others could not and she made appointments with other specialists to confirm. I thank her from the bottom of my heart and highly recommend her.
