I am surprised with the reviews. Dr. Marotta is an excellent doctor. He speaks to his patients in Italian to help them understand, he is empathetic, helpful, and not a pill pusher. The office is clean and well organized. My mother is doing extremely well under his care and I would recommend him to everyone, and I am not sure why every other review is so mean.

Connie the secretary is very rude and should be FIRED. He is not a nice doctor who does not care.

Worst Doctor around. Pill pusher. He does not care for the elderly. Secretary is rude.

I think his secretery is a extremly rude and a real *****! The doctor is also rude and does not do a good job. I rate him a minus 0!

I have read all of the posts in here and I agree with everyone of them ..THE SECRETARY IS RUDE ARROGANT AND HEARTLESS TO PEOPLES in need there is no such thing as appointments I was there for 2 1/2 hours before I was seen ... While the doctor is very pleasant and relates to the patients by speaking to them in Italian. I find that he is very slow in the way he talks. to you, and doesn't really answers your question.. not impressed with him at all.. I have been desperately trying unsuccessfully to get a hold of his rude and unprofessional secretary.. to tell the doctor that the medications he prescribed for my mom, has had a reaction to them and needed to speak to him to make adjustments.....to my surprise no one picks up the phone so I left a message, waited a few days and still didn't get any call back or a message. so I decided to call back..after calling several times throughout that day I managed to get through and she answered the phone ...and without me giving her any explanations she just said I gave the message to the nurse and she will get back to you. when I asked will it be by the end of the day she basically said will see,and that was the end of that....called back the following week because had not heard from the nurse and she actually answered the phone, when I asked whats taking so long for the nurse to call back, her answer was, we have lots of calls to return... I went on to say that this is a follow up on a medications and it shouldn't have to take this long for someone to get back to us.. soon after that she just hung up!!!! like as if she wasn't even interested what I had to say. It has now been a total of 12 days since my initial call and still havent heard from anyone ..I have been dealing with my mother's situation for the last month of her initial appointment. All I want to know is to adjust her medication so that she can start feeling better.. For what I can see this doctor and his so called secretary are a total loss to me . Extremely disappointed and would ever go back to them

Connie his secretary is great. She gets back to you more then he does. He rarely returns phone calls or even emails. Even though he tells you to email him. He has great knowledge but I find his patients are seen as genuine pigs rather then people. Expect to wait for a while, rarely on time.

His lack of compassion is astounding. He does not treat his patients or their caregivers with dignity and respect if he did he would return calls. Please for the sake of your loved one find another geriatrician. I wish we had.

Italian speking memory specialist & great guy. He is treating my father.

We saw him at Sunnybrook. He was incredible: so kind, gentle, empathetic and helpful. The medication he prescribed helped. A wonderful physician!

Do NOT take your loved one to this man. I brought my father there when he was starting to show signs of dementia. Rather than telling you (and your loved one) how dementia will progress and what to do in order to prepare for the day your loved one reaches the point of being totally disabled, he gives you a sense of false hope. Consequently, you do not "see" the small slipping away as it happens. He tries medication after medication on the patient. You call the office and they don't answer the phone. You leave a message and they do not return your calls. He and his staff are useless.
