I love Dr.. Tozer , he had treated my Dad and the rest of my family with respect and great care. I love a doctor with a sense of humour. Unfortunately I believe our relationship with Dr.T has come to an end as my dad has now been placed in palliative care. Thank Dr Tozer for all you’ve done and your care. Donna B

You never get a second chance to make a first impression ... Well, first of all there is a 'D ICK' in his name. After meeting a breast cancer victim for the first time, Dr. Tozer likes to use words like 'refute' to challenge concrete facts by patients in regards to their cancer returning multiple times, including the effectiveness of Big Pharma chemo drugs like Paclitaxel aka Taxol®, Abraxane®, Onxol® etc., which didn't work in this case. FYI Dr. Richard 'D ick' Tozer, communication is a Two-Way Street. Yes, medical terminology is vital to your profession. Using jargon is fine when talking with others in your field, like Meteorologist Dr. Rachel Vandermeer, however; plain English should always be used when you are dealing directly with patients ... especially if they are from Asia and English is not their native tongue. *Side note: I'm not sure if that lady in the exam room with you was your assistant, nurse, movie extra, or bodyguard, as there was no introduction. I hope your relative being treated by Oncologist Dr. Blair Leonard at Walker Family Cancer Centre has better results with Big Pharma. My wife died in the Spring of 2018. RIP. #RunFromTheCure U.S. Patent 6630507

Dr. Tozar is extremely knowledgeable and advocates for the patient... when the patient may not even be aware that advocating is required! Bottom line, he's beyond qualified, he cares and goes the extra mile.

My mother in law trusted dr.tozers word that she needed the chemo, but she infact didn’t. She slowly died and dr.tozer didn’t even have the balls to come and tell her that she was dying when she asked for him many times.

I met Dr Tozer for the first time today with my father. This doctor is patient, clear, intelligent and focused. His explanation of my dad's situation was on point and he took the time to answer my questions he was very helpful and sincere. This man put me at ease and he is an excellent communicator. I would recommend him to anybody.

I had a terrible experience. His department sent my oncotype request to the wrong Health Canada department. When I kept calling for results I was told nothing and my apt. with him cancelled and rebooked 1 month later! I called the lab in California and they got my sample a month after I gave permission to do the test. I filed a complaint and found out my file sat in someone's to do bin for nearly a month! When they cancelled my appt. Tozer knew why and did not have staff tell me the truth. I switched oncologists and got treatment plan back on track but it was very frightening. I filed a formal complaint with his College. He was sent that information and to this day has not apologized for the delay, the lies, or the fear I lived with. He is a horrible man. I am glad he has been better for some patients but as he paid no price for his callous lack of professionalism and care, many are at the mercy of his next mistake. I would suggest you seriously consider what would happen if you could not afford a delay and your very life was at risk. Don't be polite. Demand better.

Dr. Richard Tozer is amazing. I was 32 years old and 6 months pregnant when I was diagnosed with cancer. I am 50 years old today and with out him and all the support of his team and centre I am not sure I would have made it. When you go to the centre you must realize you are not alone. This hits everyone and when you are in his office he is not looking at his watch to kick you out the door. Or make you feel your wasting his time with your questions. So if he runs a little late to your appointment have a little compassion for the person ahead of you in line. I love Dr. Tozer for giving me the last 17 years and counting with my loving husband and our two boys.....

At my first appointment it was obvious that it was the first time he looked at my file. He staged me wrong telling me I wasn't eligible for a trial that I am eligible for. The worst was that he spoke very unkindly about me to the social work staff. My first appointment was my last and I transferred my care to Princess Margaret where I feel valued and worthy. I would suggest that UHN is far more patient centered and comprehensive than any care you can get at the Juravinski.
