When I was at the Cobequid hospital, a night shift doctor called Dr. Smith for my problem and he referred me to him for an urgent visiting. I met Dr. Smith for the first time almost 2 years ago and he sent me for a couple of tests before starting treatment. He is so polite and very knowledgeable. He is following my condition every 6 months. He is absolutely one of the best doctors I have ever seen here in HRM.

Was a patient of Neil’s til he was not able to fix my issues. But he called the specialist I needed to see, while I sat in his office. He was always available when my tubes blew, which was frequent, and whenever I felt I may have another mastoid infection, I was put in immediately to see him. Top notch doctor. Excellent bed side manner.

After having a persistent sore throat and loss of voice for months (after an acute respiratory reaction) that culminated in full blown laryngitis. After going to several clinics and being put on two anti-fungals and an antibiotics (ended up being unnecessary) and being brushed off by other doctors - I knew I needed to see an ENT. I was hesitant because of the negative reviews I found on this site. Dr. Smith was present during my appointment and he listened to and answered the questions that I had. He was direct and succinct, but I didn't feel brushed off or that he wasn't listening. In addition, Jenn, his RN, was excellent at reviewing recommendations and next steps with me. After months of pain and uncertainty, I feel like I finally have an accurate diagnosis and a treatment plan that will help me get my life back.

I have experience the best care for my going hearing problem and infection ! He speed up the waiting period for surgery and advise me with good result! Amazing doctor, he diagnosed me and didn't give up when every other doctor brushed it off, he truly cared and gave me every test I needed. Highly recommend.

Fantastic doctor. He diagnosed my problem quickly and performed surgery with excellent results. Great staff as well, including nurse Jen and Secretary Darlene. Can’t say enough good things about all of them.

I called to set up an appointment and the lady on the phone was actually quite rude. I don’t know if she was his usual receptionist, I didn’t appreciate her tone.
