Ratings for Dr. Neil Smith - Retired
3.8
I found Dr. Neil Smith as a thorough doctor as well as his team .
He had no interest in investigating my issues. Dismissed me, said it was TMD, and didn’t do any part of the examination himself; his resident had done it. He was only interested in collecting his fee and getting me out the door. Why aren’t doctors willing to investigate? If they can’t see a problem immediately, apparently it doesn’t exist and your pain is dismissed. He’s dismissive, arrogant and uncaring. Do not go to this ENT if you can avoid him. He’s all about money, not patient care.
Dr. Neil Smith is the best doctor that I have ever had! I had a huge lump (the size of a golf ball) on my throat which became extremely worrying and anxiety-inducing. I was extremely scared about it but Dr. Neil was very kind and compassionate towards me and reassured me that I had nothing to worry about. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and he laid out the best possible plan for me to get that lump removed without any issues. As someone who never underwent surgery, Dr. Neil Smith made sure that I was not too nervous about it and was always there to explain and help me understand the procedure. He even went the extra mile and contacted my family all the way back home in Bangladesh! I would highly recommend him to anyone who is having any kind of issues pertaining to ear, nose, or throat as I honestly feel that Dr. Neil Smith is the best ENT doctor in the whole of Nova Scotia.
Dr. Smith was very kind, and patient and explained everything to me I great detail. Thank you so much Dr. Smith.
Dr Smith was not very nice. Did not listen to my symptoms. He made a diagnosis based on my age. I'm a 62 year old woman. He had me in tears and showed no compassion. He kept repeating that I am a 62 year old woman at least 4 times or more during a 15 minute visit. Awful appointment. I DO NOT recommend Dr Neil Smith!
Recently had septum work done, even with my vagal response - things were handled perfectly and would highly recommend.
Very helpful , knowledgeable and compassionate. Also appreciated everyone following the health guidelines and Covid protocols with sanitizing between patients and insisting on masks for everyone both patients and staff. Very pleasant atmosphere.
Helped my mom with her BPPV so I was hopeful that he could help me with the loud ringing in my ear but he said that it can’t be cured Can’t live like this
After years of having difficulty getting to sleep because of nasal congestion, Dr Smith suggested “ radio frequency of the turbinates” . The results of the procedure were better than I could have hoped for. I have been able to discard my “Otrivin” and say goodbye to the rebound congestion and other issues caused by that. Thanks Dr Smith
Has been my ent for 15 years. Help with my bppv and improved my allergy symptoms with radio treatment. Highly recommend.
