I like doctor Tchernov. He always listens what I have to say and often agrees with me, he can help in situations when other doctors would send me to specialists. In case of emergency, he lets patients come without an appointment and this is great because you take care of your problems quickly and it saves a lot of time. Regarding receptionist, he has two - one is very pleasant and the other one is not so nice. I consider myself very lucky to be his patient.

Dr. Tchernov looks to be knowledheable, but he never has enough time for his patients, always in rush, don't listen what patient wants to say. His secretary just nightmare :(

I like this doctor. The waiting time is short. He always comes up with funny remarks. For simple problems he is the guy to go to. However, he is not a specialist so don't expect long and detail explanations. His secretary is competent but she has a Russian customer service mentality which is quite rude.

A patient from day one, I love Dr. Tchernov. He is a funny guy and always brings a smile to my face. Its true that you have to prove ur problems before u get a prescription or a refferel, but thats the only way to do it. And yeah the receptionist could smile from time to time, not gonna kill her.

Dr. Tchernov is a very knowledgeable physician, very prompt, which is good if you’re a busy person, and very helpful for small routine stuff. However, his promptness is a disadvantage for more complex and serious problems and as such the quality of his services suffers, which is the case with many of Canada’s overworked doctors. His secretary is a completely different case; she’s very rude and ignorant and in my opinion has to be put on some kind of medication.

We are patients of Dr. Tchernov for a long time. So far we have no problems, he is always very helpful for everybody in our family (3 generations). I can't say the same about his receptionists. It is usually impossible to make an appointment by the phone, they don't pick up the phone.

I'm a patient of Dr.Chernov from the days he opened a practice in Toronto area. I my opinion he is good knowledgeable doctor, however his stile is more like a cookie cut: problem-diagnosis-prescription. If you want more, you may try beg for it or search alternatives. On my last visit I caught him on saving OHIP money. Prepare your speech before seeing him - it will last 2-4 min. This must be a reason for a very short waiting time in his office, and I like it. Do not expect much service from a receptionist.

I agree, with the post above, I think that Dr. Tchernov could spend more time with each patient. Years ago, when he just started, he was a lot more polite - he may not have gotten worse, but customer service skills are important even if you are a doctor!!
